@SpotifyCares I don't know about mobile, but certainly on (my home very fast) wifi. YouTube downloads are very fast. Plenty of free space (255g of 1t used).

@haight6716 Thanks for the details! Are the slow downloads and lags happening when connected to Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both? That'll help us narrow things down a bit. It's also worth making sure you've got at least 2 GB of free storage on your phone. Keep us posted!

@Spotify why is your android app so slow? Downloads take forever, scrolling and other ui updates lag. Will a storage reset help? I have a bunch of downloaded songs, is that not properly supported?

Sad to see the Model S die I’ve had 2 of them, here they are, and there are still almost no other cars that can match the acceleration, practicality, software, and ADAS As much as I’ve loved mine, I still think the car deserved a proper refresh before cancellation. A full effort redesign could have put the car that changed the world back on top. Every time I think about selling my current one, any replacement I look at will have compromises I don’t want to make.

@haight6716 @DJSnM They are planning on using some syn-synchronous orbits, in addition, but it would be too crowded for their planned million-satellite constellation.

Taking some cues from SpaceX's datacenter submission to the FCC - here's 30,000 satellites in a single shell with 30 degrees inclination - obviously this doesn't work at night, they provide extra compute during daylight hours for people at work.

@joshrobertnay @Erdayastronaut All this was true in the dot com bubble too. Expectations can get ahead of reality even if demand is there and trending upward.

I don't believe there's an AI bubble in the same way as, say, the "dot Com bubble" of the early 2000s. AI demand is still extremely high and continues to grow. Market saturation is not even close. We're not just talking about LLMs, we're talking about robotics, the medical field... A wide range of industries that continue to push in that direction. Time will tell how long it will last but I believe we're still on the low end of the exponential growth in AI.

I just hope if (when?) the AI bubble bursts all the space computing is still of value. I suppose if you can make space compute cheaper than ground based, then it's a competitive advantage even if AI doesn't "pan out" so to speak.

@HardAtWorkHenri @StarfishSpace So 1km was the test objective? That's what I'm trying to get at -- were the objectives met or is this a "we did great, not as great as hoped, but great" type announcement? Often it's hard to tell the difference with space missions. Kudos either way.

Objective: See if the proof-of-concept works? Why stop: No need to exceed the test objectives pushing past them introduces too many additional factors and risks. Why not further: Same as above; this mission established a solid baseline that can be scaled in future tests. Limits: A combination of all the previous points
