Retail outside of this market still think in terms of BTC, XRP, ADA, XLM, and LTC. It's odd, but I have seen a bunch of evidence of it over conversations that took place the last week.

All this pearl clutching about Fed independence is nonsense. Fed is not independent, it is basically a branch of the Democratic party. You can see this in many ways. 1) Political donations by Fed employees overwhelming go to the Democrats. 2) Former FRBNY president is comfortable writing columns suggesting Fed conduct policy against Trump. 3) Former Fed Chair and Fed Vice Chair just sliding into senior roles in the Biden White House. 4) Fed Chair happily supporting Biden fiscal policy, then feigns ignorance afterwards. 5) Fed making moves on political issues like climate regulations for banks. 6) Fed staff pumping research on climate change and DEI stuff that just aren't in their mission. I think the Fed would better serve the public if it were more politically balanced.

I will give you a tip this has made me incredible amounts of money over the last 6 years of trading crypto. Now that funding rates are getting a little crazy on some alts, here is your strategy. On top trending/strength alts, set bids 20-30% lower with limit orders. There are like fishing hooks you set out to catch some wicks during liquidation events. I did this on FTX regularly and it works out very well. When funding is .3-.4%, a flush is inevitable. It can even dump 30-40% sometimes in a single candle before recovering 70-80% of the wick.

WHY TRUMP WON While the legacy media has a meltdown searching for hitherto undiagnosed psychoses in the electorate to explain its embrace of a Hitlerian strongman, the truth is much simpler than their fictions. This election is a reminder that after all the manufactured drama and overheated rhetoric, politics is still about issues. Whether you agreed with him or not, Trump ran a substantive campaign based on issues like the border, inflation, crime, and war. Harris ran on vibes, celebrity endorsements, name-calling (“convicted felon”, “fascist”), debunked hoaxes (“very fine people”), and platitudes (“democracy”). She would neither defend the Biden-Harris record nor say what she would do differently. When she did talk about specific issues, they were often stolen from Trump (child tax credit; no tax on tips; border funding). On the one issue where Democrats had an advantage, abortion, Trump deftly got ahead of the issue by rejecting a national ban and removing problematic language from the GOP platform. Harris wore out the issue by blatantly lying about Trump’s position and by exhibiting her own party’s extremism (nobody needed to see an abortion truck at the DNC). While Trump expanded his coalition with MAHA (health) and DOGE (government efficiency), Harris concluded her ersatz campaign by going all in on demonizing her opponent, pretending Madison Square Garden was a Nazi convention. The fact that voters saw through it should be reassuring, even if you don’t agree with the result. Voters want to know how a candidate will give them a better life and, increasingly, they have learned to tune out the rest as noise. While the legacy media creates excuses and impugns the motives of voters to explain why Trump won, the reason is simple: Trump is the candidate who spoke to voters’ concerns directly. It’s the issues, stupid.

It’s so annoying to RT Matty non-ironically, but this is good stuff. What’s amazing is that this would have been an impossible sell 48 hours ago.

A tip for my fellow traders spending these next 24h in front of their screen: Remember how these events play out from a liquidity rotation perspective- Once the smart money get a strong read on the binary outcome, the most LIQUID things get hit first, even if they arent the most strongly correlated. In this election it will be $BTC first. Because if you want to put on a huge SHARP position long-Trump or short-Kamala thats the best place to do it in. However- $BTC is actually not even that vulnerable to the election, neither are US Equities. So there will be a HUGE Catchup trade available with a timely rotation to other coins... The +/- % spread from the two outcomes from BTC will be ~12%. Smth like 74k trump, 65k Harris. But for $ETH it will be ~20%. $2300 Harris, $2800 Trump. Once the BTC move happens ill be looking to trade the $ETH catchup move, especially hard if Trump wins. This is the best risk/reward on election day I see. If Trump loses OTOH, the high beta free money once $BTC falls is shorting $DOGE. No Department of Government Efficiency means it could become a single-digit (cent) shitcoin. If Trump wins it will have a beta of course and I can see it flying through $0.20+, but it will have a sharp reversion once it runs too far. Time it at your own risk that way. Exciting day ahead, good luck timing your rotations! And keep some dry powder in advance so you have some flexibility. Good luck Dragons, keep hydrated.

This is an absolutely devastating report for the @JustinTrudeau gov, who failed at every turn to protect CDN scientists, research data & most importantly extremely dangerous pathogens, then allowed the Chinese spies to escape, paid them for almost 2 extra years & finally when this became public, did everything possible to cover up their negligence including suing the Speaker who was a @liberal_party MP, proroguing parliament & holding an unnecessary election in the middle of a COVID outbreak & now trying to dump the report on a day when 90% of the CDN media is focused on the US Election. The incompetence of this gov is beyond comprehension!

@texasrunnerDFW Yeah, you’re missing the point. It’s not how many people are in the crowd, but how many people are in the crowd watching the crowd. It’s that we - the enormous crowd watching on social media or television - see an exuberant pro-Harris crowd. It’s like a laugh track for sitcoms.

It's as if there are entire classes of people -- who have very high-ranking societal positions -- who can think basically nothing on their own. No extrapolating. No independent inquiry. They *must* have a (official) source, otherwise it is an unknowable thing and more tests are needed.

we needed a peer-reviewed study to unearth that being around depressed people can make you depressed. it's chock full of biological language to say basically that. broke: "you are the company you keep" "birds of a feather flock together." "one bad apple spoils the bunch." "who you stand with shapes who you become." woke: "automatic mimicry allows an emotional synchronization between two or more individuals integrating motor and autonomic responses." "it's possible coexisting with a person with depression results in neuronal synchronization, resulting in emotional contagion" we often encounter problems not because they're new, but because we've forgotten obvious things the past has already taught us. flat circle. ummm, I'm gonna need a SOURCE for that ancient wisdom pls.

“Trading is a serious intellectual pursuit that is also incredibly fun. The joy of attempting to solve an unsolvable puzzle. A nearly impossible daily test of discipline and self-control. An endless emotional roller coaster of instant feedback, frequent disappointment, sudden euphoria and nearly unbearable periods of crushing self-doubt. Enjoy the ride.” H/t @donnelly_brent 🔥
