I’m going through the craziest burnout I’ve experienced in my ~17 year career I’ve been sick for 16 days now, haven’t even been able to go for walks I kind of fucking hate AI I think all of these things are related

I honestly believe that Vim Motions don't actually make you faster at using a text editor, and a well implemented multiple-cursor system + typical modifier keys are actually much faster in practice. Evidence: watch me program on streams with Sublime Text and judge for yourself.

@tylerdotai @IroncladDev And this sounds like a below average dev wannabe that finally can build something out of his reach, even that being a wrapper of a wrapper with -3 users. Time for mediocre to shine

@IroncladDev This sounds like a trad coder's cope, man. Fighting back against technology has never played out well. Sure, you can have a contractor build your house with a screwdriver, but why would you when nail guns and power drills exist?

I'm tired of vibe coders telling me "you're getting left behind" I'm not taking the same path You just want to build half-baked software that works, and that's okay I want to master my craft and build + explore maximum-leverage developer-focused software

Everyone’s heard ‘you have 1-3 years to make it’ with AI and writes it off as doom and gloom. It’s not fear mongering. It’s truth. The permanent underclass isn’t just a rage bait talking point. It is what will happen when an 18 year old who learned all the AI systems outpaces your decades of experience in a weekend. More layoffs are coming. But so are the biggest opportunities of our generation. The only question is which side you’re on when this all hits. Make sure it’s the right one.

Starting to realise that the pro/anti LLM debate is just a junior/senior programmer debate in disguise. Think about it. Senior devs like Ryan Fleury, Tsoding and Notch are all skeptics... but junior devs like Theo cite AMAZING productivity gains because their floor is so low.

I’ll say it. I really liked Wicked. Wicked 1 that is… Wicked 2 was garbage.
