maybe it's less about whether or not the strategies are repeatable
and more about whether or not it is a thing that one can strategize about
whole lotta MFs out there that would have an incredible social life if they could somehow solve that problem with javascript
my take is that the value of showing the process is that you are offering evidence that it _can be_ a process that _can be_ solved

I used to be an asocial hikki. Now I have lots of real-life friends, throw huge parties etc. I want to write about to make that jump but I didn't keep detailed notes on what I did and also I don't know how repeatable the strategies are.

I love Gleam. But, to beat incumbents (in my case elixir), you can’t be incrementally better. You have to be 10x better. Even if Gleam is 3x better, its not enough to migrate my project.
If, however, Gleam had a database solution that was somehow better than ecto (ifykyk) then it’d be 10x better for me and I would be looking to migrate my projects

I reached out to @GoldsmithsUoL in September to get my degree re-issued in my name, seems like they’ve lost it and won’t reply to any emails.
So I guess I spent a year and 10k on a piece of paper I don’t even have anymore. Nice!

@AndersonAndrue @hayleighdotdev Yes. Gleam could easily fix this by making the / operator do what `divide` does. It would break everyones code but that's way better than having this rude surprise in the language.

I wrote some thoughts on why I think folks taking pot shots at Gleam's 1/0 = 0 is actually a good sign for the language over on the other site 🦋
If it's the only thing someone can complain about, I reckon we have a pretty solid language 💕

@gleamlang 1.0 was released almost 1 year ago. Funny how 20 year old languages are still playing catch up with no official LSP, formatter, or package management 😔

@thdxr I started building out a ui lib which authored styles with tailwind, swapped it out for vanilla css and its muchhhh nicer in this case I think

the results are so overwhelmingly tailwind it's making me think i should not use it

openauthjs comes with default UI for flows like username/password and pin code i implemented these so far with tailwind since its popular but feels like basic css would be simpler but i know tailwind is good for copy paste + tweak what do you think

@welltypedwitch A very graceful take 💕 I’d much prefer to see interactions where we learn from our peers instead of digging in before tapping out. There is a difference between admitting you are outside of your comfort zone vs actively learning from folks who know more than you: both are good!
