@Rioutm @gavinshelley @jet2tweets We’re at a hotel so think we’re going to wait here rather than head to the airport yet, hopefully we’ll hear something official soon

@RoyalMailHelp I haven't received any post at all for 2 weeks now - what can I do to find out what is happening to my mail? I've emailed a complaint but just got a generic response, and there is a 40 min wait on the helpline...

Unless I'm missing something ,the problem in Bolton and other areas is people not getting vaccinated who have been given the option to be vaccinated. And if that is the issue, I'm not sure what there Government is supposed to do about it.

@djmeph @MamaMoose_Be @timspector We’ve been ‘easing back into it’ for months, the UK has been one of the slowest in unlocking this time around. 5 weeks between each step is hardly rushing!

Plenty of scary models around that I’m treating with a pinch of salt-, ALL the data shows vaccines are working and I don’t buy into an Indian Third wave scenario that some of the media seem to be whipping up

Good Morning Britain
As the government says it can't rule out local lockdowns, should restrictions remain in place for the areas where cases of the Indian Covid variant are rising?

@ebeth_0990 @JamesMelville My heart goes out to you, I can’t imagine how tough it must have been for people giving birth during that first lockdown! It’s hard enough with the usual support networks in place.

@pete_v @pmholling @andygmckay @Atrios @PaulMainwood Same here, booked in this week for Pfizer jab and I’m under 40 (just 😬) Large numbers of friends of same age all booked in/already had the jab, all guaranteed to have Pfizer

@pmholling @andygmckay @Atrios @PaulMainwood Similar here - 39 and I had a text from my GP earlier today inviting me to book in for a first Pfizer jab 🥳. Wasn’t expecting it with the central NHS site still saying over-40s only.

The UK is doing something hard to understand, and harder to justify. We are both importing and producing unfeasibly huge vaccine supplies and ... sitting on them. The stockpile is currently a little under 12m doses; ~5m of them are mRNA. Can we *please* get them into arms now?

Significant move from @WHO - they are following Britain in recommending the Oxford AZ vaccine be given 8-12 weeks apart, saying a longer gap "associated with greater vaccine efficacy" and will reach more people. And recommend for over 65s too who.int/publications/i…

@ChrisGr29264921 @andrew_lilico No. This time more younger people are occupying ICU beds. ICU aren't able to take every patient who needs an ICU bed, so elderly patients are triaged out.

@h_dub @rehabrich @obi1_2 @MichaelYeadon3 I guess they didn’t test it on people who’ve had covid as they are already (at least partially) immune - there is some concern that giving the vax to people who’ve had covid could actually cause a large immune overreaction but I haven’t read up on it

@hcathro @rehabrich @obi1_2 @MichaelYeadon3 The more I read this, the more questions...will this be given to people who've had covid?? It hadn't been tested on suspected/known previous sufferers.
