A Labour source in the i paper claims that Andy Burnham will reward Josh Simons with a head of policy role for stepping down as an MP. This is what Andy had to say about cronyism in 2021. 👇🏼 He certainly has the shameless, hypocritical skills to be a Labour PM.

UK unemployment up. Youth unemployment up to 11 year high. Wage growth down. Biggest monthly fall in payroll jobs since 2014. Borrowing costs just hit 18-year high. Businesses getting smashed apart. Labour’s destroying our economy.

Labour MP Darren Jones has confirmed that the next batch of Mandelson files won’t be published until after recess. Oh how convenient. They know it’ll not only finish Keir Starmer for good but Labour as well. A blatant cover up.

I’ve joined MPs from across the country to call for a pause to new 'affordability checks' on betting. With Ripon Racecourse on our doorstep, I understand just how important racing is to our local economy, jobs and community. There are serious concerns that these proposals haven’t had enough scrutiny and could be intrusive for customers, harm racing, and push people towards illegal betting. We’ve written to the Culture Secretary urging Ministers to review the impact before any rollout. I’m keen to hear your views - please do share your thoughts below 👇

Thank you, @PatrickChristys, for having me on your show to debate whether ‘it is ever okay to mock the burqa.' People need to stop recklessly conflating misogynistic attire with the dignity of Muslims as people. On a side note: I exposed the former @TheGreenParty candidate Fahima Mahmood for making personal attacks against me on national TV for merely criticizing the misogynistic Islamic ideology behind the so-called modest dress code for women. She denied it and went on making further personal attacks. Watch and see whose “bias and unhinged trauma” are causing them to act irrationally.

LEGAL UPDATE On the 31st of August 2025 at a Bell Hotel protests in Epping, Essex Police ripped me from the crowd, put me in handcuffs and wrongfully arrested me for incitement to racial hatred. After spending a day in the cell I had my devices seized and I was put under investigation for two alleged offences; racially motivated criminal damage and incitement racial hatred. In December of last year these were dropped. I ended up being charged with “theft of a banner of unknown value” and attended a magistrates. I believed that I had done nothing wrong, I plead not guilty and demanded to drag the case to a Crown Court. In the meantime I started compiling evidence to prove my innocence and collected character references to show my good nature. The last half a year or so has been extremely difficult for me and my family and I want to thank everyone who has fought my corner. Getting arrested, the court case, statements made against me by a local councillor, the smears. Standing up for the people of Epping, against immeasurable odds, has paid a massive toll. However, it fills me with the upmost amount of joy and pride that I can finally announce that last week I was found NOT GUILTY. I will never stop fighting for my people. I knew I was innocent and had done the correct thing. Ultimately, I’m not sorry.

It feels as if Starmer is already history and an irrelevance. Weird for a PM who is not going to resign.

So ministers are campaigning to win a seat they already had, for a candidate that wants to replace the PM that they have full confidence in and claim is going nowhere. And we are meant to pretend this is all perfectly normal.

@martinmccluskey So debts will go unpaid, and the bills of those who pay go up. Great idea, not. I remember a Labour Energy Minister thinking rightly that prepayment was better than disconnection and than out of control debt

Consumers deserve an energy market they can trust. That trust was broken for too many families affected by forced installations of prepayment meters. That must never be allowed to happen again. It’s welcome to see Ofgem standing up for those affected. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The Bank of England has sold another £825 million of its UK government bond holdings today. If you think its a bad time to do that you'd be right. The main sale was of our 2029 bond on which it lost around 16%. #QE #QT

Fun fact: The amount Denis Healey borrowed from the IMF would cover us for just six weeks at current run rate, even adjusting for inflation.
