With Shopify's Assets API being deprecated, it was do or die for our app Meteor Mega Menu. That sounds dramatic, but we either had to rebuild the entire app or face being delisted from the Shopify App Store. My vote... was to let it die. Here's the story.

Here's 13 reasons why a Shopify merchant won't install your Shopify app, based on 7+ years of experience.

Looking back at the details I missed one important part... It wasn't a Shopify theme partner.
The plagiarizing company copied their theme and created a 1-for-1 knockoff for Magento. Then filed a DMCA with Shopify to take down the original Shopify theme. Still painful that legal took 15 days.

Step 1: Send legal takedown notice to legal@shopify.com to all your competitors
Step 2: Shopify will delist apps temporarily
