If you go little deep, there is no astronomical reason why a particular day is Sunday/Monday or any other day. It's a very inorganic concept. Force fit on entire world now. There was no Sunday holiday in India. Our local artisans workers would take off based on the lunar calendar. Most Rajasthani shopkeepers abd labour still do.

The concept of a 7-day week was not natively Indian. It was borrowed from the Greeks, thus even the names correspond to the same plant, e.g. Ravivāra = Sunday (both talking about Sun/ravi)

@krishashok The scare mongering is happening to control eating habits of India. To make it move towards what the Americans are producing. The US trade deal is the key.

Now that the whole eggoz scaremongering that everyone (particularly mainstream media) indulged in seems to have vanished without a trace (and moved on to newer, more disgust-pandering topics like pus in milk), it’s worth asking - can we step back a bit and consider what happened here?

I can't buy this argument. The number of ui frameworks outside of Microsoft are multiple and they do have breaking changes. If you are on 5-6 versions behind, even AI agents can't migrate the code directly to latest version. Microsoft hasn't done great from there side for mobile or desktop. But blazor is quite good for dotnet developers to use.

@andi0b UI Frameworks come and go. Vision doesn’t. Great UI isn’t about tools. XAML and CSS (#dotnet) are already enough. So what exactly are you missing?

I don’t really get the level of devotion around #Aspire. Is that the only project worth caring about now in the #dotnet world? What about Maui, Blazor, APIs, SWA… all the stuff people are actually building with? Sure, Aspire is great for orchestration. But if we keep orchestrating technologies nobody really uses or understands anymore… what exactly are we orchestrating? 🧐 Feels like we’re building a control tower for an airport with no planes. @davidfowl

Before calling any online movement or group a “national security threat,” there should be solid evidence, not just assumptions, screenshots or political disagreement. Social media pages often use satire, memes and outrage to gain attention. Some may have political agendas, some may simply be chasing virality. But serious claims about foreign operations or threats should be backed by verified facts, otherwise it just becomes fear-driven speculation.

Bill Gates has already spent more than $7.6 MILLION creating genetically modified ticks designed to SPREAD in the wild. In 2023, the Gates Foundation awarded Flyttr the cash to “initiate development of a self-limiting tick” designed to spread and control cattle ticks.

Reliance has slowed the Jio IPO. Bloomberg blames the Iran war. The real reason is buried one paragraph in. Valuation discomfort. The risk of Jio listing below Bharti Airtel. Let that sit for a moment. Then look at why.

Someone on his team would have pitched this idea. Modi probably would have laughed for five seconds straight and instantly said, "Done." Then some staffer would have been assigned to buy a Melody packet. For the last few days across UAE, Netherlands, Sweden and Norway, he was probably carrying this in his head, internally giggling at the meme potential and the storm it'll cause on internet. Maybe that's why when the Norway journalist shouted about press freedom, he didn't hear her. The man was busy preparing his punchline in his head. And now the moment is here, and it delivered. Peak internet bait. Credit to both leaders; that's how you instantly connect with the youth.

I don’t dislike her for her singing or projects as much as I totally find her a fake personality due to her plastic surgeries and heavy makeup. It’s so obvious she has done it and it really looks fake. Her sense of dressing is questionable many a times given her position as wife of a top leader, example her body hugging dresses for one sports event. Independence, she has right, her choices under that heading, very poor.

I can’t get myself to troll Amruta Fadnavis. Call me a hypocrite if you want, but I just can’t. Not because I agree with everything she says, or even like all her choice, but because it’s honestly refreshing to see a Mrs. CM with a personality of her own. Someone who has stepped out of the shadow of her husband & unapologetically pursues her hobbies & interests as she sees fit. Could she lend her voice to more deserving causes or projects? Maybe. Probably even yes. But for now, she has my heart simply for refusing to become a silent ceremonial extension of power.

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 Here are the 10 tools I (actually) use in 2026: 1. GitHub Copilot → Claude Code ↳ Copilot writes low-quality code. Claude Code reasons about your entire codebase. ↳ Refactors, writes tests, fixes bugs, all from the terminal. 2. Visual Studio → Cursor ↳ Cursor brings AI natively into your IDE workflow. ↳ Tab-complete, inline edits, and full codebase chat in one place. ↳ I haven't opened Visual Studio in months. 3. VS Code → Rider ↳ Rider is the best .NET IDE for developers who care about quality. ↳ Smarter refactoring, built-in decompiler, and better .NET performance. ↳ It also supports writing frontend code. 4. Keyboard → Wispr Flow ↳ I talk. It types. And it learns from my edits. ↳ My writing speed went from 80 WPM to 200+. ↳ Slack messages, emails, code comments, all hands-free. 5. Stack Overflow → OpenAI Codex ↳ No more scrolling through 12 answers from 2015. ↳ Ask a question. Get a working code example in seconds. ↳ Stack Overflow still exists. I just don't need it as often. 6. "Works on my machine" → Docker Desktop ↳ Every dev on the team runs the exact same environment. ↳ No more config differences, missing dependencies, or environment bugs. ↳ If it runs in Docker, it runs everywhere. 7. Fireflies → Granola ↳ Meeting notes that actually make sense. ↳ Granola does NOT join your call as a bot. ↳ It runs in the background and captures everything quietly. 8. Confluence docs → Claude Skills ↳ Static docs go stale fast. Nobody reads them after week one. ↳ Claude Skills let you build living, instructions that get things done in minutes. 9. Google Scholar → NotebookLM ↳ Upload your sources. Ask anything. ↳ It becomes a private research assistant for your stack. ↳ Perfect for reading BRDs, whitepapers, and architecture guides. 10. Draw[.]io → Eraser[.]io ↳ Diagram-as-code. Describe your architecture in text, and AI creates a diagram as code. ↳ No more dragging boxes for 30 minutes to draw a simple flow. ↳ Version-control your diagrams right alongside your code. Save this post. Try one tool this week. Which tool on this list are you switching to first? 👇 —— ♻️ Repost to help other .NET developers upgrade their toolkit ➕ Follow me ( @AntonMartyniuk ) to improve your .NET and Architecture Skills

A temple administrator from a deeply traditional family recently sent me his son’s resume for a job recommendation. The son had converted to Christianity. What disturbed me wasn’t the conversion itself. It was this, the family had spent years in temple sewa preserving rituals, sustaining continuity, keeping tradition alive. And somewhere along the line, the next generation quietly walked away. And the most uncomfortable part? This temple is in an NDA-ruled state governed by the very political establishment that speaks most loudly about Hindu resurgence and civilizational pride. Which means the problem is deeper than politics. When even the families serving our temples no longer feel rooted within the civilization they once sustained, something structural has broken. Not spiritual. Structural. Hindus need to ask themselves some very uncomfortable questions about what we have actually built and what we have merely performed. A long-form piece on this follows later this week. @trramesh @ReclaimTemples @RahulDewanV2 @Vishnu_Jain1

He won't unless the people are on the road to demand for it. They were demanding for it when in opposition and then as soon as they as they held the post, they became protector of the constitution and PM of every citizen. Suddenly there is no clarity as to whom to hand over the temples.

Typical rage bait. Just expiring the cracks in the society. Both of you have no evidence that the stories are real. Why would someone hate a Mandir in a community dominated by Hindus in first place? These same people will go and support prayers on the roads. Slow poisoning going on and now seeing the pendulum going the other direction is causing deep trouble.

I am not sure what kind of ‘society‘ she is talking about, but a lot of Brahmin-Baniya ppl try to take over residential societies. Ex- in my friends apartment, some Brahmin families wanted to build a small temple inside the premises… not cos there were no temples nearby, but cos they wanted it inside the society itself. They knew Christians n Muslims lived there too.. But because they were influential in the management committee n bcos they had the confidence to push these things.. the Muslims and Christians stayed quiet because they did not want trouble. It was actually some Hindus who strongly opposed it. Bloody.. keep your God inside your home or go to a temple. What is this obsession with converting every shared public space into a religious space?

The economic contribution of pigeons in Mumbai is actually insane. Every balcony needs a pigeon net ₹2500 minimum, labour charges separate, then maintenance separate because these birds somehow still break the net. And if one pigeon enters once? Finished. They’ll lay eggs. Then more pigeons come. Then more eggs. Suddenly your balcony becomes their permanent family residence. And if that’s not enough they’ll poop all over your car every single morning like it’s part of their daily routine. Government genuinely needs to think about this pigeon situation in Mumbai

@hemant_sathe The GitHub Copilot premium request model was the odd one out, moving forward, the way AI is priced will generally look the same wherever you buy it from. It's all consumption-based for the most part, or special subscriptions that have "unlimited" usage within time windows

Organizations using GitHub Copilot, what are the different ways you plan to address the upcoming pricing changes? I only see 3 options so far: 1) Upgrading from Business to Enterprise may save money because included AI credits are now pooled and cost less than on-demand credits
