One of the things that strikes me about Protestant evangelicalism is that it doesn’t have and has never really had any particular cultural cachet. You’re not getting access to legal brain trusts or elite academic circles when you become an evangelical Christian. But you do get Christ. And that seems like the most important thing.

Tucker Carlson’s attempt to portray Israel as anti-Christian backfires when his guest, Mother Agapia, reluctantly admits that in “Palestine,” Christians aren’t even allowed to publicly share the Gospel.

It appears the "equity cards" system setup has backfired and become a major bone of contention. "Equity cards" are designated passes or "status markings" for NDP delegates who identify as belonging to equity-seeking groups, although it still remains unclear what groups qualify.

I tried tonight to watch Top Gun Maverick. Things that I would enjoy more: 1) Grooming the beard of @ZohranKMamdani; 2) Giving @joebiden an oil massage; 3) Listening to Occasional Cortex @AOC explain her foreign policy views; 4) Visit Raqqa, Syria wearing a “I love Bibi” t-shirt; 5) Injecting Ebola into my eyeballs.

The #Flames now have four 17 goal scorers on the season with Coronato, Farabee, Frost, and Coleman. They have 9 games (and two periods) left for someone to get to 20. Very interesting to watch if it’ll happen.

@herbert_roch @michaeljknowles Protestantism only succeeded because it was empowered by royalty who desired nothing more than to wield full control over their serfs/peasants/guilds to include spiritual control. Protestantism exists because of this, it was an act of subversion by “the empire”.

When it comes to the perpetual virginity of Mary, do you agree with the Catholic view or with the view of Protestant reformers Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, and John Wesley?

@BuckaBanzai @michaeljknowles Right because all the most powerful people in Europe were hiding out in a castle afraid that a lone German monk and his few friends might kill them.

@michaeljknowles Trick question, since the reformers still held to the perpetual virginity of Mary. But Wesley is not considered a Protestant reformer. But I will still choose the Protestant option cause I will always side with Luke Skywalker over Darth Vader.
