It is alleged that the deceased was travelling with three passengers, with a white Toyota Corolla from Gauteng to Musina, when they got a breakdown along the N1. While hoping to get assistance from other motorists, a white Toyota Fortuner stopped, and two unknown males approached them as if they were going to offer assistance. The suspects asked for the driver of the Toyota Corolla. Upon being pointed out, one of the suspects immediately produced a firearm and shot at the identified driver several times. The other three occupants ran in different directions for their safety. The suspects then boarded their vehicle and fled from the scene. #ChronicleNews

This is the current situation at the scene of this year’s national independence celebrations hosted by Emmerson Mnangagwa in his Midlands province. Just pure mediocrity on display—a clear indication of how backward the country has become. The place has absolutely no drainage. I mean, how can a regime embarrass itself like this and put it on display? And then, as Nick Mangwana, the regime’s propaganda chief, tried to spin it—calling it a cultural sign of blessings from God… yada-yada-yada.🤣🤣🤣 This simply shows that when incompetence and massive corruption meet, you get a disaster. And when the incompetent and corrupt act without emotional intelligence, it only gets worse. This is a massive embarrassment to the country, to mark 45 years of independence with such a disastrous show on international display. It rains everywhere in the world, but other governments ensure proper drainage systems are in place, and that stadiums are built to host such events. But you cannot achieve that when all you know is stealing public funds and hiring incompetent, thoughtless people. It is sad to watch! When you look at small economies like Botswana, Rwanda, Zambia, and Namibia, you realise just how incompetent, backward, and corrupt Mnangagwa’s regime has become.

Warren Park lady arrested for taking advantage of minor A GRANDDAUGHTER of a landlord in Warren Park 1 allegedly forced herself, on multiple occasions, on a ten-year-old schoolboy. Fadzai Chimboza was not asked to plead when she appeared before Harare regional magistrate Tilda Mazhande, who remanded her in custody to January 29. Because she is facing a third schedule offence, she was advised to approach the High Court for bail considerations. Chimboza is the granddaughter of the landlord of the house where the boy stays with his parents. The court heard that in April last year, the boy came back from school and Chimboza pulled him and dragged him into her room. She allegedly removed the boy’s clothes and told him to sleep on the bed. When he asked her to stop she responded by saying, ‘NDINODA KUKUITA ZVISINA KUKWANA.’ She forced herself on the boy. She allegedly then forced herself on the boy a number of times after that. The matter came to light on December 19 when the boy told his cousin that he had sexu@l intercourse with his girlfriend and his mother overheard him. A police report of aggravated indecent assault was made, leading to Chimboza’s arrest. H-Metro

The thief, Saul Dadirayi (23), and his gang had robbed passengers on a Blue Circle bus earlier that day.
