I went to Delaney Hall after reports of unsafe and unconstitutional conditions inside, and what I heard from families and advocates was heartbreaking. The people being held there are fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who deserve to be treated with dignity.

My request to access the facility was denied this morning, raising even more questions about what they are trying to hide from public view. I’ll keep fighting for answers and to hold ICE accountable.

I promised Martin’s wife that I wouldn’t leave until I found him. After 18 straight hours on the ground, first at Delaney Hall and now at EDC, we finally got to see and speak with Martin. Our work here isn't done. The fight continues. And we will never relent until all private detention centers are closed and ICE is abolished.

I just visited Delaney Hall with my colleagues @RepNellie and @SenatorAndyKim, and it’s crystal clear to me there’s only one option now. CLOSE DELANEY HALL, NOW. The conditions here are absolutely unacceptable. These detention centers have no place anywhere in our state or our country.

Today I am at Delaney Hall to stand with @GovSherrillNJ and my colleagues in support of detainees engaging in a hunger strike against the deplorable conditions. I’ll say it again: this ICE facility should be closed.

I’m back at Delaney Hall with @GovSherrillNJ and other members of the NJ delegation to meet with families of detainees and listen to community advocates. We’re working together to make sure they’re heard and to speak out with them.

Immigrants at Delaney Hall are on a hunger strike because they are fighting for their human rights. The conditions there are deplorable. I’m deeply disturbed by reports of the poor conditions at Delaney Hall. Unsafe, inhumane, and unconstitutional living conditions are completely unacceptable. I have long opposed private detention facilities and advocated against them. I will continue to call for the closure of Delaney Hall because of reports like these. I have contacted ICE to gain access to the facility and my office remains in close coordination with our federal delegation and with advocates, and I commend their continued oversight and work to hold DHS accountable. I will continue working with our partners to closely monitor the situation and to do what's necessary to ensure humane conditions.

The Trump administration is the most corrupt in American history. Why is the President allowed to act like an organized crime boss? The Supreme Court gave him blanket immunity in 2024. Congress must investigate.

No one should have to endure what Adriana has. After nearly two years in ICE detention, our constituent was deported to the DRC. Each day has been a nightmare for Adriana and her family but we will be with them every step of the way. I’m grateful to @Carrasquillo for sharing her story.
