Australia wont exist in a generation if we don’t solve the baby drought … so what to do? Had a nice dinner with @Matt_Camenzuli and others tonight. Matt suggested 0% income tax for families with four kids. Discuss.

It’s official. The Libs have confirmed they don’t believe in climate change. I don’t know what’s weirder — Ley claiming she’s ditching net zero to give her grandkids “a better world to inherit” or the admission they’d extend coal-fired power stations at the taxpayers’ expense.

If you are one of the 40 million AMERICANS receiving snap… please never forgot that this man & the republicans were lockstep with making sure you didn’t get your 6 dollars a day! Oh and if you just have a soul & think this is CRUELTY especially as our tax dollars are wasted on countless golf trips, please never forget. #NeverForget

🚨 BREAKING: The Supreme Court has granted the Trump administration’s emergency appeal to temporarily block a lower court order requiring full SNAP food aid payments during the shutdown, allowing Trump to continue with partial payments instead.

In every comments section of every finance and crypto YouTube video, you can find a comment like this: The "Up Only" mentality. It is reminding me of 2022-24 when they said the exact opposite: "Interest rates are rising, inflation is rising and they're stopping QE! We're going into a recession!" Now, this does not mean the top is confirmed, just like it didn't mean the low was in in 2022. But the signs are building, and my bet is that there is less gain to be had than investors believe due to this common misnomer.

Today the Telecommunications and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025 passed the Senate, I did not support it. This Bill continues the steady march of Australian law toward a surveillance and security state. While framed as a “technical amendment” to support law enforcement, in practice it: 1. Expands digital surveillance beyond reasonable limits. 2. Removes judicial oversight in favour of bureaucratic discretion. 3. Erodes privacy, autonomy, and legal equality, the pillars of a free society. The Bill trades liberty for the illusion of safety, granting government unprecedented power over private life and digital communication.

The Queensland supreme court has found the Qld government acted unlawfully & must pay costs (that's us). That really should be the end of the Crisafulli government's term. It can't continue under such a finding. An election should be called for the Qld people to decide. #qldpol

Ah yes. The old "Fossil fuel subsidies" argument. Can you tell me exactly what these fossil fuel specific "Subsidies" were? Be specific. Does that figure include fuel credits which are available to every single industry including renewables? Does that figure include GST rebates, also available to every single business? In answering, please also note the amount of tax revenue collected from the gas, oil and minerals industry compared to renewables. Let's hear it Ash.

The Right are anti net zero, without even understanding it. It's because their team says its bad, so the sheep follow along. Putting environmental benefits to one side, and the fact the right, are meant to be free market capitalist. Net zero leads to, cheaper energy Innovative technology jobs and booming rare earth and critical mineral sector Removing the ideology to own the left, net zero is money making win win for the economy and the environment. But also fuck the environment ammi right? 🙃

This is an interesting development. Pauline Hanson's One Nation, to be called "One Nation". Does that change your vote?
6 News Australia@6NewsAU

#BREAKING 🚨 Pauline Hanson's One Nation has posted online that it will change its name – dropping Hanson's name from the title, making the party simply "One Nation" It was previously known as just "One Nation" when Hanson was out of the party between 2002 and 2013

If you think marching for Australia does nothing, think again. Since we marched on 31 August, parliament has gone into a frenzy debating Mass Immigration. 19 October 2025 we march for Australia. Bigger and better again! Australian voices will prevail

@QBCCIntegrity @7NewsBrisbane Hard no from me. The States own the minerals, not the Commonwealth - hence royalties accrue to States with mining activities. The miners pay for access to minerals and operate at maximum efficiency to deliver minerals to market. The Commonwealth benefits via exports and taxes.

Australia, hear me out. Let’s have a discussion about nationalising our mining industry. Is it time OUR wealth for toil, from OUR resources, was owned and operated exclusively in Australia, by Australia, for Australia - eliminating income tax? Not foreign owned. Let’s discuss
