A month into my internship, I can see IoT for agriculture in Malaysia is shit. Everything is R&D (It's fun tho). Lack of talent. Lack in-house product. Most of project comes from gov grant. While lot of small farmers looking for automation for their farm, they can't afford for high-cost setup for the implementation.

@MuhdSidiq You can do it if you got the skills. For me unfortunately dont have my own farm. Maybe after my internship i will do some freelance for small farmers to bootstrap my own startup.

Had a long convo about this with @shamhardy & an ex-MDEC guy (Capong, aku takde handle twit kau). Salah satu cabaran utama adalah lebih mudah & murah untuk peladang menggaji pekerja asing, daripada buat automation/IoT/ untuk sektor agriculture kita.
