@lurkmoophy Just think though, 3oh3 got away with:

@cathy_dutton This is where the bizarre clash of user stories come hit
"as a user I want to authenticate..." And so on

100% — I started going to meetups when I was 19 and nearly every professional opportunity I had came from the community. Internships, jobs, speaking opportunities, collaborations.
When we didn’t have a CSS (then Sass) meetup in my city, I started one. That’s how I began speaking and running workshops (when we needed to fill a speaking slot).
I was able to identify people I wanted to learn from, places I wanted to work, and tech that interested me. Highly recommend getting involved in your local community!

A historical day for CSS 😀🎉
If you write any components used and/or styled by others, you know how huge this is!
background: if(style(--variant: success), var(--green));
Even if you don’t, this will allow things like:
padding: if(var(--2xl), 1em, var(--xl) or var(--m), .5em);

I’m in the middle of a design/UX audit.
It’s for a large internal case working system with lots of issues, big and small.
Some to do with flow.
Some to do with layout.
Some to do with content.
Some to do with accessibility.
All sorts.
Here’s 3 things I’ve noticed:
(1) Many issues are repeated across huge parts of the system.
(2) Some of the solutions I have in mind would solve multiple problems in one go.
(3) For many of the issues, it would be far quicker to just fix them rather than documenting them, explaining them, getting them prioritised etc
