Giving my @openclaw its own Discord server has been the biggest unlock. Now I can have channels bound to specific agents configured for tasks with their own memory and have task specific conversations in parallel!

I recently got a CO2 monitor for my office and learned it hovers at 1200-1300 when I'm working, which diminished my IQ by at least 1 sigma. Now keeping a window open and noticing an enormous difference in my ability to maintain focus over long durations. Get one now! Link below.

CO₂ monitors are surprisingly actionable i carried it with me everywhere; to my professors' basement offices, to my room where i lit candles, to my bedroom after just a few weeks of carrying it everywhere, i stopped needing it and changed certain behaviours forever

What even are moats in the AI enabled workd?
1. Regulatory moat
Self explanatory
2. Enterprise + proprietary data flywheel
Sell into enterprises → access unique data → product improves → 3–5 yr contracts → lock-in.
3. GTM / distribution
More money means can outspend competition. Hard for startups here already need to be funded. Think Polymarket / Kalshi dynamics.
4. True deep tech
Fundamental IP (models, hardware, cryptography, infra).
Weakest:
Shipping faster / better UX. Can grab attention but not defensible.

I suspect the problem isn’t just a lack of software talent but overcoming political inertia at non tech S&P500 cos. AI lowers the cost of building software, but it doesn’t lower the cost of navigating internal fiefdoms or stupid processes.

Suspect "AI means fewer software jobs" is totally backwards. Most companies in the S&P500 would love to build their own software but have no suitable internal talent. There'll definitely be cross-company migration, but we may be still supply-constrained in software engineering.

@zeeg Yeah, I quite Vercel a few years ago because of the increasing number of janky bugs I kept finding. Especially when using multiple projects with different emails.

Vercel sure is getting tricky to use these days. The core "deploy the app" part is still great, but "how do I add the Sentry integration to this project" (and similar narratives like this)... its tough (navigation/discovery).

Can confirm. I led "Search & Intelligence" org in Google Workspace for 3 years and it was near impossible to get anything done, especially when it came to Gmail. Too bad, I loved the products and really wanted to make them better, but think my time there was mostly wasted.

Agreed. Don’t really understand how this has been broken for so long. Why can’t a search company trying to win the LLM war ship a decent email search product? seems like this is such an easy win but alas the org structure won’t allow it.

so not only @base employees abandoning ship looks like the top protocols are either being gutted or abandoning ship as well, and @Polymarket odds now projecting no $base token in 2026 looks like a bottomless pit, may need a market on when the sequencer gets shutdown at this rate

actually don’t mind that Zora shipped something on Solana. mostly surprised they even marketed the new product in a chain specific way at all.
tbh you are limiting your TAM with any mention of crypto or chains in your marketing today, as they appeal only to the crypto native end user.
app builders, the future is “chain-less”. chains are infra and users don’t care about knowing. you aren’t choosing what apps you use on your phone today because one is built on AWS and another is built using Google Cloud. recommend removing all notions of chains from your product going forward.

Also, the assumption here is that the bottleneck is access to context. In a lot of real work, especially consulting, the problem is that the “spec” doesn’t exist. In many cases, customers don’t know what they want until you help them discover it.

I thought Dwarkesh had a good point that software engineering is the only job where the full context needed to do the job is available to an AI agent (via the code base) And I didn’t think Dario had a good answer for why automating other jobs will be as easy

After nearly 4 years, I've decided to move on from @coinbase and @base to explore something new.
This was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I had the privilege of working with the most talented team I've ever been part of. People who genuinely care, play positive sum, and believe in our mission. If anyone ever has the chance to work with them, I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.
I got to launch @base with Onchain Summer, travel the world from Kenya to Thailand to India to grow our builder and creator communities, and ship @baseapp from scratch, 0 to 1 work that meant wearing every hat needed for success from product to marketing to devrel to QA, and running through walls for bets I believed in.
Through this I became a sharper builder and a better leader, and I'm SO insanely grateful for this chapter.
Thank you to the incredible leaders I was lucky to work with including @jessepollak, @_johngranata, @chintanturakhia, @brian_armstrong, @maxbranzburg, @sid_coelho, and so many amazing teammates.
