Frontier hit a person walking on the runway on takeoff at Denver tonight. Frontier rejected the takeoff with and engine fire and evacuated everyone on the runway. Absolutely a nightmare scenario.

ClearSpace has developed a spacecraft designed to clean Earth’s orbit by capturing defunct satellites using robotic arms. The company works with the European Space Agency and UK Space Agency to safely deorbit satellites. The mission aims to reduce debris and improve safety.

@davill @DJSnM This is definitely not desired reentry behavior… looks like Blue has some mechanical design challenges to overcome before recovery of a usable fairing is possible.

Cool video of New Glenn’s fairing re-entry. For this flight we installed an exo-atmospheric reaction control system (RCS) in the fairing to control re-entry and enable recovery of the fairing. We’re planning a parachute recovery later this year, and the data from these fairings gives us the learnings needed to develop and refine that capability.
