I'm preparing a short demo with the full flow where a private key is loaded into a Trusted Execution Environment and used to sign onchain (on Flare). I think this is interesting because it shows how onchain logic can control a private signing environment without exposing the key or relying on a normal backend. And this matters more after every bridge exploit, signer compromise, leaked key, unsafe admin wallet, and opaque backend incident we keep seeing in crypto.

What changes in FAssets v1.3? In the current model, minting is tied to a chosen agent. In v1.3, users initiate minting by sending XRP to the core vault on XRPL, and an executor relays the proof to Flare to complete the mint. That makes the minting path more direct. Agents remain essential on redemption, and the collateralized redemption model stays in place.

If you read between the lines here, this is a massive unlock that makes Flare accessible to an entirely new audience: “In v1.3, users initiate minting by sending XRP to the core vault on XRPL, and an executor relays the proof to Flare to complete the mint.” FAssets v1.3 fundamentally changes the minting path. Instead of requiring users to first move XRP into an EOA, CEX-held XRP can now be routed directly into FXRP minting flows. XRPFi gets much stronger when users can enter the system through the channels they already trust. Escape velocity comes from meeting liquidity where it already sits 🚀

XRPFi is stronger when people can connect through the counterparty and custodial paths they already use, beyond the preexisting on-ramps. v1.3 is a step in that direction for minting; while keeping redemption and collateral in the same frame the protocol has been built around.
