NEW | As Israel bombs Nuseirat again, Gaza’s “ceasefire” continues to bleed Palestinians every day
Israeli aircrafts once again bombed the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza tonight as Palestinians continue enduring near daily bombardment despite the ceasefire that was supposed to halt the genocide and protect civilians.
Since the ceasefire took effect, thousands of Israeli violations were documented, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, mass shootings, detonations, and attacks on homes, refugee camps, journalists, police points, and civilian gatherings.
Palestinian health authorities say more than 850 Palestinians have been killed and thousands wounded by Israeli attacks during the ceasefire period alone.

Today, Canada, alongside a number of its allies, published an important statement condemning the numerous and continuous violations of international law by Israel.
We note, for the first time in our view, that Canada clearly spells out that any Canadian construction projects or business operations in Palestinian territories, including on land in which illegal settlements currently stand, can be met with legal and reputational consequences.
This is an important step in the right direction. It is further imperative that the government clarify what steps Canada will take to ensure that no Canadian businesses will have continued or future involvement in illegal settlements on Palestinian land, including in the sale of settlement products or projects.

This crime of abducting humanitarian activists from international waters, and torturing and humiliating them, activists who have been trying to break a cruel, terrorist siege imposed by an occupying and terrorist power and tolerated by the majority of the world’s governments, is a dark stain on the face of humanity. Shame on governments for allowing Israel to impose this siege and for doing nothing to stop it. Shame on governments for allowing Israel to abduct and torture citizens who tried to do what their own governments failed and refused to do. Israel and its terrorist government and military forces think they are intimidating activists from trying to change the reality imposed on the occupied Palestinian people. More than ever, the entire world sees the evil of Israel. Israel is not a democracy. Israel has no respect for humanity or international law. Palestinians have the right to exist on their land and live in dignity. And every human on this earth has the right and duty to support them.

I have huge respect for people with the courage to join the Global Sumud Flotilla.
They put their bodies at risk because they do not believe their lives are more valuable than the lives of Palestinians.
It is shameful that government ministers express indignation for Canadians when they have utterly failed to show it for Palestinians, who have endured untold cruelty for the better part of a century.
But that’s the world we live in, and the bravery of the flotilla participants shows the glaring double standard, and helps build pressure to rein in the rogue state of Israel.
It’s an extreme tactic in response to extreme impunity.
And the goal is to stop the genocide and dismantle Israeli apartheid.

I have just received information from my officials which details the appalling abuse of Canadians who were detained in Israel. These Canadians have now arrived in Türkiye. Global Affairs consular officials on the ground are ensuring that they receive urgent medical care as required so that they can return home as soon as possible. Canada unequivocally condemns the grave mistreatment of Canadians in Israel. Those responsible for this egregious abuse must be held accountable. While Europe still debates whether to end its Association Agreement with Israel, as if there is much to debate, Israel continues to happily commit war crimes in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
This was South Lebanon today.
First, Israel bombed a father and his daughter. Then, when the medical team arrived, they bombed again. A double tap. A war crime.
Designed to maximize civilian casualties. That is, terrorism.
