As a small business owner in the photo, Rex (of Beggs, Oklahoma) says he’s voting YES on 832 because “Oklahomans have earned a raise.”
Here’s a simpler idea, Rex: Just pay your own employees more right now. Nothing in the law stops you — or any other business owner — from giving voluntary raises today.
If the market truly supports higher wages through productivity and competition, businesses already do exactly that. Forcing every employer (big and small) to raise pay by government mandate only creates winners and losers: some get a raise, but others lose hours, jobs, or opportunities entirely. Small businesses get squeezed hardest, prices go up for everyone, and entry-level workers often get shut out.
Vote NO on 832. Let willing employers pay more voluntarily instead of requiring it by law.
What do you think, Oklahoma?

Can we find Rex and his small business in Beggs, Oklahoma? Might be hard. Not much to run with.
