Never ever take a Zoomcar. They ruined our trip and left us stranded. What happens when you rent a Zoomcar and the police seize it mid-highway? We had a ridiculous experience with @Zoomcar_India in Jaipur. Last Sunday, we booked a car in Jaipur to drive to Ranthambore. Number plate was masked on the app, so no idea what we were getting. We reached the car and it’s a Gujarat (GJ) white plate vehicle. I felt uncomfortable instantly, but it was too late to change the vehicle - this was the only 7 seater option available in the city. The owner reassured: “No issues. It’s been on Zoomcar for 4 months. Cops won't stop. Take my number if anyone stops you.” Within 45 minutes, we got stopped by the police. They seize the car, take the keys, park it in some random plot and ask us to call the owner. Owner proudly tells them that he’s been renting it out for months and never faced an issue. Police is adamant that this is illegal (and rightly so). The owner needs to visit the RTO and pay up. Any commercial vehicle playing for that long in RJ needs to pay Road Tax here + convert to yellow plate if used commercially. Road Tax alone would come to around Rs. 1.5 Lakhs. And then the cops just leave. So now we’re just standing there, at 38°C, in a random area off the highway. Owner doesn’t show up. Says it’s a Zoomcar problem and that he'll wait for their legal team to deal with this. Zoomcar support? Useless! “Err, It’s Sunday, our team will come tomorrow. And since your booking is still live, please don’t leave the spot; if any damage happens to the car, it’ll still be your responsibility.” Tomorrow??? And don't leave the spot??? We’re stuck in a live police situation and your solution is wait till tomorrow? We stood there for almost 2 hours before we could even figure out what to do next. Because of this: – Missed a ₹28,000 safari – Paid ₹12,000 extra for last-minute transport – Entire day gone After all this and 7 days of escalations, Zoomcar calls and says they’ll “refund the booking amount.” Think about this. No one would know the legalities of vehicle rules better than them. Yet, they listed this. And then abandoned us mid-crisis. And honestly - what if this happened at night, to a woman travelling alone? You hand over an illegal car and then disappear? I've been chasing Zoomcar for a week now. Let's see where this ends. @Deepankar8 @Zoomcar__India @nch1915 @jagograhakjago

After last nights watch of #Dhurandhar2 in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way , whether on it’s expected collections , audience euphoria , social influences , cinematic grammar breaking , and above all the psychological audio visual impact , it will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from MUGHAL E AZAM. onwards look like TV SERIALS This is the BIRTH of a NEW CINEMATIC ORDER and the ruthless extinction of everything that that ever existed before.in the previous WORLD of CINEMA The very spelling of the word DIRECTOR will start from @adityadharfilms name , and it will be prudent and wise for even STEVEN SPIELBERG and CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to drop everything they are doing, and catch #Dhurandhar2 FIRST DAY FiRST SHOW

NEW SCAM BY OLA DRIVERS IN BANGALORE Extremely disturbing experience with an Ola ride today from Majestic to Jalahalli, Bengaluru. The ride initially showed a fare of ₹285 in the Ola app. However, after reaching my destination, the driver showed a bill of ₹5950 on his phone and demanded that I pay the full amount. He claimed that I had cancelled some old rides and that the amount would be deducted from his account if I did not pay. When I tried to explain that my app clearly showed ₹285, the driver started becoming aggressive and repeatedly insisted that I must pay ₹5950. Since he was speaking mostly in Kannada and I am not fluent in the language, the situation quickly became stressful and difficult to manage. I then contacted Ola’s emergency support through the app expecting immediate help. Unfortunately, the response from the support representative was extremely disappointing and dismissive. Instead of trying to understand the situation or deescalate it, she repeatedly questioned whether it was a “safety issue”. When I explained that please consider it as unsafe and that I felt unsafe, the representative responded in a rude and dismissive manner and abruptly disconnected the call stating that it was “not an emergency”. At that moment I was left alone to deal with an increasingly tense situation with the driver. Fortunately, my house owner arrived at the scene, understood the situation, and advised the driver that we should go to the police station to resolve the matter. I followed him on his bike while the driver followed us in the cab. However, midway the driver suddenly rerouted and fled the area. This entire experience was extremely stressful and raises serious concerns about: • Fare transparency on the platform • Driver conduct • The attitude and responsiveness of Ola’s emergency support team An emergency line that dismisses passengers during a tense situation defeats the very purpose of having a safety feature. @Olacabs @bhash @BlrCityPolice Can you please help with this situation. I can share all the details.

The typical nonchalant look at the end! No guilt, almost as if littering is simply part of his daily routine and perfectly normal to him. In fact, he probably can’t even figure out why the person filming him is angry in the first place.

At any airport round the world, u can come out to the kerb at arrivals and can be picked up by your car It is of course a quick 5’, ‘load bags n jump in’ pit stop At @CSMIA_Official (Mumbai Airport) you have no such choice. You HAVE to go into the parking to collect the passengers. Then wait in line to exit and get slammed for some ₹300 (P6 rates). A 3-4’ pick up results in a 20-25’ headache This is such a waste of time and a rip off. The math of this extortion fleecing patrons runs into a massive number for the airport Should be illegal or poorly planned intentionally

What if every plastic or glass bottle you bought came with a reward for returning it? Starting April 1, Goa will roll out a statewide Deposit Refund Scheme (DRS) aimed at reducing plastic and glass waste. Under the system, consumers will pay a small refundable deposit on beverage containers, including plastic, glass, and metal bottles, when they purchase them. Once the empty container is returned at designated collection points, the deposit amount will be refunded. The policy is designed to encourage people to return packaging instead of discarding it, improving recycling rates and reducing litter across the state. The deposit amount is expected to range roughly between ₹2 and ₹10 depending on the type and size of the container. The initiative comes as Goa faces rising waste challenges due to tourism, urban growth, and increasing consumption of packaged drinks. By attaching a financial incentive to recycling, the government hopes to create a circular system where bottles are collected, recycled, and reused instead of ending up on beaches, streets, or landfills. If implemented effectively, Goa could become one of the first Indian states to adopt a full deposit-return model similar to systems used in several European countries. Environmental experts say such programs can significantly improve recycling rates when supported by convenient return points and strong public participation. #Goa #SustainableIndia #PlasticFreeIndia #CleanBeaches [Goa deposit refund scheme, plastic waste policy Goa, bottle return recycling India, sustainable waste management]

Some basic dos and don’ts at restaurants. Never let them put a slice of lemon in your drink. The peel is probably full of pesticides. Never dig into the communal bowl of saunf at the end of a meal. You might as well have the germs injected intravenously. @seemagoswami at her best

Today is the darkest day of my life. My beloved son, Agnivesh, left us far too soon. He was just 49 years old, healthy, full of life, and dreams. Following a skiing accident in the US, he was recovering well in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. We believed the worst was behind us. But fate had other plans, and a sudden cardiac arrest snatched our son away from us. No words can describe the pain of a parent who must bid goodbye to his child. A son is not meant to leave before his father. This loss has shattered us in ways we are still trying to comprehend. I still remember the day Agni was born in Patna on 3 June, 1976. From a middle-class Bihari family, he grew into a man of strength, compassion, and purpose. The light of his mother’s life, a protective brother, a loyal friend, and a gentle soul who touched everyone he met. Agnivesh was many things - a sportsman, a musician, a leader. He studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, went on to set up one of the finest companies Fujeirah Gold, became Chairman of Hindustan Zinc, and earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Yet, beyond all titles and achievements, he remained simple, warm, and deeply human. To me, he was not just my son. He was my friend. My pride. My world. Kiran and I are broken. And yet, in our grief, we remind ourselves that the thousands of young people who work across Vedanta are also our children. Agnivesh believed deeply in building a self-reliant India. He would often say, “Papa, we lack nothing as a nation. Why should we ever be behind?” We shared a dream to ensure that no child sleeps hungry, no child is denied education, every woman stands on her own feet, and every young Indian has meaningful work. I had promised Agni that more than 75% of what we earn would be given back to society. Today, I renew that promise and resolve to live an even simpler life. There was so much life ahead of him. So many dreams yet to be lived. His absence leaves a void for his family and friends. We thank all his friends, colleagues and well-wishers for always being there for him. Beta, you will live on in our hearts, in our work, and in every life you touched. I do not know how to walk this path without you, but I will try carrying your light forward.
