@gabsmashh There aren’t many bands taking over from the old bands. Music is in a weird place where rap and hip hop rule everything, especially in the US. Do kids still learn instruments and form bands?

@Bardofocme @historyrock_ Two of the greatest albums ever, with November Rain being the greatest rock song of all time.
English

@historyrock_ I used to love G n' R as a kid. Then the grossly over-hyped albums Use Your Illusion I & ll came out when I was a teenager and I was like, "Okay?" And now as a full grown adult I look back at them and give them an even fatter "O" for over exaggerated band even of their own era

@KarolineGosling Lack of compassion. Observe how she treats people she resents, because someday that will be you.

@Paul_Nevarez @jakeglmn Never back on Rogan since, as far as I know…

@LisaBritton I think that if people want to get married, then both should be putting the same money into the property or investments so that there can be a clean 50/50 split when it goes wrong. Existing assets before the marriage should be off the table. This could be part of a prenup.

@all90saltrock I remember watching this live. In fact I will never forget it. 😅

@vampire_mouse_ He cannot survive in direct sunlight. If he is returned to his coffin and his home soil he will recover in time.

@KingColemanII @Ben_Scallan It’s not a zero sum game though. The people with money will spend or invest that money, and them having money is not stopping you from generating wealth. What is stopping you from generating wealth in Ireland is tax.
English

@Ben_Scallan I'm supportive of inheritance tax in some shape or form. Without it life is just a super league where the same families can't ever get relegated and no-one else can get promoted

Doesn't matter if it was recent or not. Whatever I leave behind when I die will be for the benefit of all of my descendents, not just my son. If I ended up rich enough that my great great great etc. grandson in the year 2500 is still benefitting from my life's work, I'll be delighted. It's very disjointed and atomised to think that the link between descendents and ancestors is less meaningful over time. Our ancient ancestors whose names we don't even know Iaid the groundwork for the quality of life we have today, and we owe the same to our descendents who will be born after we're dead and forgotten. I don't think childrens' legitimately-earned, already-taxed inheritance should be looted by the State, it's grossly immoral.

@Ben_Scallan @AnMailleach Not necessarily. Wealth could be passed from generation to generation tax free. It doesn’t imply recent generations have worked hard at all.

@RetroCoast Doesn’t your metabolism tank as well as loss of muscle?
English

@JohnEdwardLee @thirdboardman @IrishMailSunday Tax bonanza? They will let you keep an extra tenner a week of your own money,
