I have been against a TikTok ban for a long time, because it goes against freedom of speech. That said, the current situation where TikTok is allowed to operate in America, but 𝕏 is not allowed to operate in China is unbalanced. Something needs to change.
Elon Musk@elonmusk

In my opinion, TikTok should not be banned in the USA, even though such a ban may benefit the 𝕏 platform. Doing so would be contrary to freedom of speech and expression. It is not what America stands for.

No matter the result of the elections tomorrow both local, state and federal, remember we live in the greatest nation to ever exist. 99% of the countries in the world would 100% switch places with us 100% of the time. Keep perspective. Keep hope. Keep loving your neighbors regardless of differences. That’s part of the beauty of being an American. I’m simply excited to have voted and I’m urging all citizens to go cast your votes tomorrow! Express your freedom and the power of the ballot. Think about all those who’ve sacrificed to give us this freedom to choose our leaders. #VoteWithPride #UnitedWeStand #PowerOfTheBallot #AmericanFreedom #GratefulToVote #HonorTheSacrifice #LoveYourNeighbor #DemocracyInAction #KeepPerspective #StrongerTogether #proudtobeamerican

Election 2024: What Would a Harris vs. Trump Presidency Mean for Small Businesses?” I’m not here to tell you who to vote for—but I do want to share how each candidate’s policies could impact our small businesses and Main Streets. With the election just days away, it’s important to consider how each candidate’s approach could affect your local businesses, especially LLCs and mom-and-pop shops. Remember, just because a candidate proposes a policy doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee—it still has to pass through Congress. 🔸 Harris: Her plan emphasizes grants or loans for new startups, but established businesses might face changes to current tax benefits. The 20% Small Business Deduction is set to expire, and she has no plans to extend it. This could mean taxes for LLCs rise to nearly 40%. Small businesses may also see increased compliance costs with new environmental and labor standards. 🔸 Trump: Plans to extend and possibly expand deductions like the 20% Small Business Deduction, keeping more money in small business owners’ pockets. This approach could allow businesses to raise wages, invest back into the community, and grow. We may also see deregulation, which could reduce operational burdens. Summary of Potential Impacts: Taxes: •Harris: Likely to increase taxes for higher income brackets, which may indirectly raise business costs and product prices, impacting customers. •Trump: Likely to maintain or lower taxes for small businesses, making it easier to reinvest and grow. Regulations: •Harris: Could increase regulations in key areas like labor and environmental standards. •Trump: Focuses on deregulation, aiming to ease operational costs for LLCs. Focus on Business Stage: •Harris: Support primarily for new businesses; limited focus on mature businesses. •Trump: Strong support for established businesses with tax policies that encourage long-term growth. My Personal Takeaways: 🔸 Harris: Her plan emphasizes grants or loans for new startups, but established businesses might face changes to current tax benefits. Small businesses and Main Streets need policies that support us at every stage, not just the start. Every deduction and policy impacts whether we can grow, hire, and give back. 💬 What are your thoughts on how each candidate’s approach could impact small businesses? #SmallBusinessOwner #Election2024 #MainStreetMatters #SmallBusinessTax #EntrepreneurLife @realDonaldTrump @KamalaHarris

Today, a customer asked me how I ended up testifying before the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C. It all started when Rachel Ervin took a call at work from someone with the #nfib looking to feature a small business in a national commercial. She passed the call along to me, and I shared our story—beginning to end. After a series of interviews, we were chosen to be the small business highlighted in the commercial. That opportunity gave us a platform to speak truth. Senators and congresspeople saw the commercial, and that led to my invitation to testify before Congress last April. Hard to believe it’s been two years since our coffee shop was turned into a mini film studio! No matter how much time passes, we will continue to speak truth and live it. Thank you to all our amazing customers who’ve supported us along the way. #SpeakTruth #SmallBusinessJourney #CoalRiverCoffee #CommunityMatters #Entrepreneurship #CongressTestimony #MainStreetVoices #AppalachianGrit #SmallBusinessAdvocate #WestVirginiaProud @NFIB youtu.be/rTfcdDEVED0?si… via @YouTube

Small Businesses: The Foundation of America ⚖️ Comparing Economic Plans: Harris vs Trump on supporting small businesses. Over 60 million workers are employed by 30 million small businesses, representing 99.9% of all U.S. companies. • Harris proposes grants for new businesses, focusing on startups, but misses renewing the 20% deduction. • Trump wants to permanently extend the 20% deduction, alongside tax cuts and deregulation to help existing small businesses thrive. I will update the chart if the candidates shift their plans. #SmallBusiness #EconomicPlans #HarrisVsTrump #SupportSmallBiz #Entrepreneurship #HarrisWalz2024 #TrumpVance2024 #Economy #America #USA

Spent the past week in D.C. advocating for small businesses. Attended the @NFIB Small Business Tax Summit with owners from all over the nation all feeling the urgency for small businesses to not shoulder the tax burden while big business gets tax breaks. Spoke at a press conference, met with lawmakers, and pushed to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. This deduction keeps businesses like mine alive, creating jobs and strengthening communities. We have incredible support and momentum heading into this election year. Let’s keep fighting! 💪 #SmallBusiness #TaxRelief #MainStreet #economy #USA

Big thanks to @RepCarolMiller for standing up for small businesses across America! If the small business tax deduction expires, Main Streets nationwide will feel the impact—jobs lost, doors closed. Entrepreneurs, the foundation of our economy, shouldn’t face obstacles from the government. Let’s protect the job creators! #SupportSmallBiz #SaveMainStreet #SmallBusinessDeduction #Entrepreneurship #JobCreators #MainStreetUSA #SmallBizStrong

Huge thanks to @RepBenCline for standing with small businesses by supporting the bill to prevent a devastating tax hike. This move helps ensure that local communities continue to thrive! #SmallBizStrong #SupportSmallBusiness #TaxRelief #KeepMainStreetAlive #SmallBusinessAdvocate

Today, @RepBenCline met with NFIB members to discuss the 20% Small Business Deduction, which would protect nine out of 10 small businesses from a massive tax hike! Thank you, Congressman! Urge your elected officials to take action: ow.ly/KlLn50TvJNz
