It's been confirmed the first stage of the appraisal process for tofersen - a groundbreaking treatment for the 2% of people with SOD1 #MND – is set to start.
This will determine whether tofersen will be available on the NHS and we're now preparing to submit evidence to support the application.
We're continuing to push for access to tofersen for everyone who might benefit, regardless of where they live, while we await the outcome of the appraisal.

@leeharris But if you can’t be bothered to work and have lots of children, they absolutely love you.

There is a shortage of legal advisers in our magistrates' courts. It reduces magistrates' court capacity and causes thousands of sitting days to be cancelled or delayed every year - delaying justice for countless people. It could also threaten the potential for magistrates to play a major role in reducing the crown court backlog.
Read more about this and what we'd like @HMCTSgovuk to do about it, in our blog: magistrates-association.org.uk/blog/a-signifi…

@edmcdermott12 @GBNEWS But she has worked in the real world, she was a complaints manager, for a bank that subsequently failed.
English

Along with thousands of other small, medium and large businesses. This is what happens when you let people who have never worked in the real world try and run the real world! Politicians should have a minimum of 10 years real private sector jobs before being allowed to run. The world would be a better place for such criteria. Peoples lives are so drastically altered by these cretins and their petty ideologies.

@B3man1 @JustinTrudeau The EU is not an economic union between sovereign states.
English

@JustinTrudeau What about an economic union between two sovereign nations similar to what the EU has in place, like Kevin O'Leary has been flogging.
It would cause significant disruption in both economies but could offer simpler trade relations.
Consumers still get to choose what they buy.

@Anna_Soubry Nothing to do with Brexit but a lot to do with this incompetent government. Months of fear about various tax grabs suppressed spending. Now the taxes we know about will destroy business investment, slowing growth even more.

@GBNEWS Hardly overthrowing a major law. It’s making very specific exemption for push to talk devices used by emergency workers. Talk about click bait 🙄

@MetroBank_Help Thanks for clarifying but the presence of these machines in every store was your greatest unique selling point.
Any limit on number of bags / amount of money?
English

@ianrobertsLLB Hi there, you can pay in coins over the counter as long as the coins are pre-sorted by denomination, counted and bagged. I do apologize for any inconvenience. Thanks ^WM
English

Appalling move by @MetroBank_Help to remove the magic money machines from their stores. It was really convenient to deposit cash without the need to inconvenience staff. Now I will need to bother a person. It will cost you more and you may lose customers.
English

@MetroBank_Help So either there is no policy or, as well as not properly briefing your customers on this change, you have also not briefed your customer support staff on the consequences? Not a great look is it #customerservice #banks
English

@ianrobertsLLB Hi there, please check with the relevant store before you take the coins. Colleagues will be able to advise and assist you. Thanks ^WM
English

@MetroBank_Help Can I just take in a stack of coins and ask them to sort them for me?
English

@ianrobertsLLB Hi there, I am sorry for this. Colleagues from our Stores will continue to assist you as and when required. Thanks ^WM

@Xexyzx @cath31321673 @LAEllis1987 @RisingPhoenics @DrNeenaJha @Zzaintheonly @JnrDocJ Tim. I believe you are correct.

@cath31321673 @LAEllis1987 @RisingPhoenics @DrNeenaJha @Zzaintheonly @JnrDocJ I was under the impression that GDPR related to whether it would be reasonably possible for a third party to identify you, not for you to identify yourself. Happy to be corrected, can you point out the relevant part of the legislation for me?

Saw a little baby in GP clinic with what appeared to be a harmless & self limiting condition
All obs were normal
But there was something v slightly odd in the history after a specific question that revealed this red flag.
I then spoke to the paeds consultant &
the baby was referred to rapid access clinic
I will say it once, twice, multiple times. There is NO such thing as a “simple case” until AFTER diagnosis.
PAs have NO place seeing undifferentiated patients, it’s particularly dangerous with babies & children.
We urgently need RCGP to state this in black & white.
