It’s the same thing here. It’s the multiverse and the incursions that are the build up. Not DOOM. It was a bumpy ride getting here, but we here now.

In fairness, I never saw the logic of recasting Blade with Mahershala Ali.
Everyone loved Wesley Snipes, Mahershala Ali is hardly a brand name, and if you're going to recast it you do it with a younger man.
Why would you recast a 60 year old Wesley Snipes with a 50 year old Mahershala Ali?

@jdkay904 Yeah but my point is why bring back James Marsden? The character died on screen and they’re doing multiverse stuff, seems like the perfect opportunity to cast a new Cyclops and do the character justice.

I think people need to ask themselves if they really miss James Marsden’s Cyclops or do they just miss when they were 20 years younger. This was not a popular character at the time.

@loganf2119 @CultureCrave It was never mentioned to other characters....we knew it because Kang dynasty was announced in the real world...the characters in the MCU also don't know about Doom or Kang...Kang Dynasty was announced in 2022 and Doomsday in 2024...so technically public knew about both for 2 yrs

i hate the argument that thanos didn’t have buildup just because he didn’t have screen time. Him appearing every once in awhile, seeing certain characters scared of him because they knew him, and his name being dropped when linked to the stones built anticipation and mystery for his character. that IS buildup.
