A Lima, Ohio, father and his 11-year-old son are dead after a semi slammed into multiple vehicles. Yvio Transportation, a one-truck operation based in Florida, had a 100% vehicle out-of-service rate at the time of the crash. Six months ago, he was placed OOS for faulty brakes. The driver, Yvio Michel, 53, of Boynton Beach, Florida, appeared for arraignment this week. During the hearing, it was revealed that he is in the country illegally. He's a Haitian national seeking asylum. An interpreter was also requested for future hearings due to his limited English. He's facing 2 counts of Negligent Homicide and 2 counts of Vehicular Manslaughter. He pleaded not guilty. Bond was raised to $25,000. The original bond was a measly $1,000.
