@GergelyOrosz Wonder if your premise is correct. Writing is more about thinking and a bit of research. AI have made the research easier but don't think it has made any difference with thinking yet?

AI - in theory - should make writing easier, thus expressing ideas should be a lot easier. And yet, I don't see all that much more things that are worthwhile to read. Sure, there's a lot more junk. But I don't see more interesting eng blogs, personal tech-related blogs etc. What is going on? (Is this a discoverability issue? Or are people / teams not writing/sharing all that much more, indeed?)

@sama will be good to know if 5.5 instant's output matches the thinking mode of any older version like 5.1 etc.. or will instant versions never match the output of thinking versions

Ladies and gentlemen, today we're launching one of our biggest changes to 𝕏 Introducing Custom Timelines This feature allows you to pin a specific topic to your home tab. With support for over 75 topics, you can dive deep into your favorite niche on X. It's powered by Grok's understanding of every post with the algorithm's personalization—meaning every timeline is made just for you. And it works even better when it's a topic you already engage with. This was a huge undertaking across many months, so we're excited for you take it for a spin. We're giving early access to Premium subscribers on iOS (and Android coming very soon).

This is so confusing. Did Anthropic really just drop Claude Code from their $20/month plan? Why would they do that through a pricing page update without making a proper announcement? Plus, $20/month still gets you Cowork, which is just Claude Code wearing a non-threatening hat!

I will support a ban on movie stars running for public office. And add children of those who held public office, too. And, anyone who has controlling stakes in any company. And anyone who has held public office for 2 or more terms in the past.

@ilamparithi_ja I build models for a living. So, I enjoy doing that. I am not sure about others.

Polling data in India and Tamil Nadu are notoriously unreliable/skewed/wrong. So I was wondering if a model built entirely on socio-economic fundamentals predicted election outcomes. So given that it's easy to build them these days, I built one.

The model highlights a clash between arithmetic vs. history. History(since 1991): TN always flips. The SERM Model: The socio-economic data (strong growth + aggressive welfare) suggests that the 2026 incumbent is more structurally secure than any government since MGR's era.

Can't wait to read. It is a tricky situation where both politicians and people are happy to skip the local body layer. For example, if a MLA is in their street , people will be more than happy get MLA to fulfil their needs. If anyone tried to break this habit , I would think it would have been the people. But politicians like @ptrmadurai talking about the federalisation to the local bodies gives hope about the future

I just finished writing a piece on what an MLA should and should not do. Hoping to see it published soon enough so that people have a chance to read before the elections.

@nikitabier @BillyM2k that doesn't sound very AI-y. I would rather expect grok to know why i am tapping it and answer it accordingly. and at the end of the answer, show more options to cover scenarios it missed in the answer, like the three you shared

@BillyM2k What if it showed a tooltip when tapping it and gave you some options? • Fact check: Is this true? • Summarize this • Explain like I’m five

i find myself using the “ask grok” button on the upper right of posts very frequently these days, especially since grok 4.20 feels a lot smarter than previous iterations it’s really helpful when something looks like fake news and i can quickly check if it’s been vetted anywhere

Announcing Codex. A new product from OpenAI that moves beyond coding, into cooking. We were already cooking before, but now *you* can cook too ... with Codex. It is powered by the same technology as our other Codex products. You can just cook things.
