@JackOwnsMSG @tastybunwich @yegwave Revenue Redistribution: It sought to shift a higher share of oil revenues from producing provinces (primarily Alberta) to the federal government.
English

@tastybunwich @yegwave Lol good question. Unfortunately the answer is an easy one. We albertians must split it with the other provinces. They call it "dirty, oily, greasy, money" yet they'll gladly grease their palms with it.

@yegwave Not surprised by Covenant Health my sister lived at the General Extended care and was treated like garbage.

All We Currently Know About Prashant Sreekumar’s Death:
On December 22, 2025, 44-year-old Prashant Sreekumar, a resident of Edmonton, Alberta, died at Grey Nuns Community Hospital after waiting over eight hours in the emergency waiting area for medical attention.
What Happened: Sreekumar experienced severe chest pain while at work around midday. A client drove him to the hospital, where he arrived between 12:15 and 12:20 p.m. He was triaged, underwent an electrocardiogram (ECG) that staff reportedly deemed insignificant, and was given Tylenol for pain relief. He rated his pain as “15 out of 10” and his blood pressure rose steadily, reaching 210 in the final reading. Despite repeated complaints, he remained in the waiting area until approximately 8:50 p.m.
How It Unfolded: His father, Kumar Sreekumar, joined him shortly after arrival. Prashant told his father, “Papa, I cannot bear the pain.” Nurses monitored his blood pressure but provided no further intervention. A follower of YEGWAVE who was at the scene stated that Prashant was begging for help and was repeatedly told to go sit down each time he approached the desk. He was reportedly on the floor asking for help and was told to move away from the area for other patients’ privacy while they were checking in. He was pacing, dry heaving, and tapping his chest, clearly in severe distress. When finally called into a treatment area, he sat for about 10 seconds, placed his hand on his chest, stood briefly, and collapsed. Staff attempted resuscitation, but he was pronounced dead from apparent cardiac arrest, likely due to an untreated heart attack.
Where: Grey Nuns Community Hospital in southeast Edmonton, operated by Covenant Health (not directly by Alberta Health Services).
Family Impact: Sreekumar leaves behind his wife and three children (ages 3, 10, and 14). His wife stated in an interview: “He was only prescribed Tylenol… They said chest pain is not considered an acute problem. They do not suspect a cardiac arrest.” She accused the hospital of negligence, saying staff “killed my husband by not providing him timely medical help,” and noted rude security responses. The family described him as a devoted “goofball” dad who loved traveling with them.
Hospital and Official Response: Covenant Health expressed sympathy but declined specifics due to privacy, confirming the case is under review by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. No formal investigation details have emerged yet.
Additional Context: This incident has sparked outrage over Canada’s emergency healthcare delays, with critics pointing to overcrowding, staffing shortages, and policy failures in Alberta. Experts note that severe chest pain warrants urgent care, not just Tylenol, and aspirin is often recommended for suspected heart issues. The family demands systemic changes to prevent similar tragedies.

Canadians, now is not the time for your insufferable politeness. 😂 I'm kidding. I do love how kind you all are but do you ever get righteously angry and drop some words? Spicy ones? Now is the time. These Feds are jackboots. They should all be ashamed. Shame them!!!! No apologies

"I'M SORRY": Canadian civil disobedience is uniquely distinguishable from other forms of unrest by the overabundance of sorrys, fake apologies, and generally passive-aggressive behaviour.

To get more major infrastructure projects built faster in Canada, we have to shift our mindset from “why” to “how”.

@TheDUIGuyPlus In Canada. When a person leaves a job they have no choice. The health insurance, that's provided by their jobs company, is instantly canceled at the end of the month. The person that's covered hasn't say in it.
English

I want to warn everyone about my experience with a Health Insurance company called "Freedom Life Insurance Company." The representative I have been dealing with is Kelvin Vasquez.
Here's my story:
I enrolled with them in 2023. I wanted my employees to have health insurance through my company. A few employees were insured without a problem. But when it came time to insure me, they said that they could not because there was a "discrepancy between my application and my over-the-phone interview." I said, what do you mean? They said that I mentioned one thing that I "have an issue with" that was "NOT DISCLOSED on my written application." I explained that I have had this issue my entire life and have NEVER went to the doctor for it because it is benign. Nonetheless, they denied my application and I figured, well, screw it; I am insured through another company and let it go.
Last month, I needed to add a new employee to our health plan. She ran into the EXACT SAME ISSUE. Discrepancy between the written application and the verbal phone interview. Not only that, he was UPSET at my employee for "being so stupid" and not "lying to them on the phone." How did she not know "the basics of how to get a health insurance policy?" I was stunned.
Kelvin assured me that he is "going to fix it and get her a policy." I said don't bother and cancelled the charging of the policy to my bank account on 3/27/25. Since I am unable to cancel health insurance coverage for a human being, as that is completely unethical, all I am able to do is request that the bank account through which the withdrawal is made be changed to an account of their choosing. Or, if they prefer, to switch to a different company at their leisure.
I informed Kelvin that my cancellation of bank draft is effective 3/27/25 at 1:26 PM EST.
He insisted that I contact my departing employees to contact them to transfer the bank draft. I explained that such is an impossibility because the employees and I parted on bad terms and they refuse to take any action.
I made it explicitly clear that I am revoking my permission to withdraw the payment from my bank account. And he did not respond to my email (see below).
I assumed that he will honor my request.
To my eternal shock and dismay, I found a charge processed on my bank account for the April policy payment on April 1, 2025.
Kelvin COMPLETELY ignored my email. Failed to take proper action. And fraudulently charged my account. I have been emailing him all morning, and he is refusing to reply to me.
I have NEVER had a company charge me after a cancellation IN WRITING.
So, I contacted my bank. My only solution? I have to change my bank account number. Which will require the discarding of ALL my current outstanding checkbooks and checks and the ordering of new sets for myself and my employees.
I have never in my LIFE had such barbaric treatment by a company before. What do you all think? Did I make a mistake somewhere? Should I have done something differently? It feels like outright open and unapologetic fraud. I think there was nothing else for me to do due to the lack of cooperation on behalf of my past employees.
Luckily, I have one final paycheck that they have outstanding and I can deduct it from it. But, come May 1, 2025, onward, I would be completely screwed with no recourse.

@ABDanielleSmith @MarkJCarney Let's put a "plug" the east and west of our "dirty oily money" then let's see what everyone says.
English

Less than 2 weeks ago @MarkJCarney told me in person that C-69 was a barrier to large national energy projects and needed to be dealt with. Now he says he has no intention to do anything with it.
Make no mistake. If this law stays there will be few if any large scale energy infrastructure projects built in this country and Alberta and Saskatchewan will be cut off from international markets.
This means Canada will become MORE vulnerable to and overly dependent on the United States.
Albertans will not tolerate this and neither will I. Hopefully this election results in a new Prime Minister that can be trusted to get rid of these terrible policies.

English

@MeganFoxWriter Funny, they did something to their account, or X did. HMM what ate they hiding?

I just got off a long phone call with the police officer in this photo who responded to the swatting call to my home last night.
He was so upset.
We both acknowledged how the situation could have gone terribly wrong, for both of us.
He also informed me that 2 ambulances, a fire truck, and nearly every cop on duty that night in the entire county was staged or rushing to stage at our home.
Although it was scary for us, it was also absolutely terrifying for the police force in Western North Carolina as well.
I want to commend the officer who calmly assessed the situation under extreme stress, his level head saved lives.
I have also learned some astonishing information around the 911 call that I cannot share.
We are safe. We will be protected.
Thank you to all who voiced concerned for us today and cared enough about strangers to share our story.
Justice will be done.

@yegventures I'm not surprised. You'll find the cardiologist's the same way..... word of advice.....ask for a cardiologist out of the RAH not the MISS. That's a bit better.
English

Went into emergency for HBP/blurry vision tonight. I've was triaged, tested, and told they would test me again in a 'moment' in waiting room. That was 1.5 hrs ago.
Multiple sources (incl AHS) say that I should've been immediately treated. This system is a complete failure.

@jmhamiltonblog @ABDanielleSmith @PremierScottMoe @RepRyanZinke @RepBalderson Maybe we should just as a province just keep our oil money to ourselves instead of handing it out?? What would the other provinces do with out our "oily and dirty money"? But no... I see Danielle Smith the only one fighting while everyone whines and cries and does nothing.2/2
English

@jmhamiltonblog @ABDanielleSmith @PremierScottMoe @RepRyanZinke @RepBalderson Wait..... have you ever called Alberta's oil industries bad or dirty??? Never seen your posts or your articles... but if you did....let me know what you said then in the next sentence tell me why should we stand-up for canada after being abused by other provinces? 1/2
English

Before wrapping up our mission in Washington, Premier Scott Moe @PremierScottMoe and I had another opportunity to champion Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Canada’s position with Rep. Ryan Zinke @RepRyanZinke from Montana, Rep. Troy Balderson @RepBalderson from Ohio, and former Rep. Jeff Duncan @RepJeffDuncan from South Carolina.
We discussed the importance of strengthening our trade relationship and how we should avoid tariffs so Canada can continue to provide economic solutions for both countries.
