Very normal to announce to the world that a medicine is dangerous and then spend the next few months asking your team to find literally any proof that it’s true

🚨 The older the sperm, the more likely it is to cause autism
Sequencing sperm using nearly error-free sequencing → measure % sperm carrying disease-causing mutations:
2% at age 30 → 4.5% at 70
Most were autism genes

Many studies suggest a major cause of autism is the mutated sperm of elderly fathers, but in a centuries old tradition (see everything from schizophrenia to eating disorders), men have decided to blame women for taking Tylenol while pregnant (despite no valid supporting studies).

UNCONTROLLED FEVERS CAUSE MISCARRIAGE IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER
Also, spinal damage, heart damage and facial abnormalities in babies. Anything over 102.5 for more than 12 hours is dangerous.

@DGlaucomflecken In a large study, prenatal Tylenol exposure was not associated with ASD, ADHD or ID.
It's still reasonable to recommend the use of Tylenol during pregnancy when clinically indicated, at the lowest effective dose & for the shortest reasonable duration.

Trump: DON’T TAKE TYLENOL. There is no downside. You will be uncomfortable, it won't be as easy

We have people in power making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproven. The degree to which those comments can undermine public health, do harm to women who are pregnant, create anxiety for parents who do have children who are autistic – is violence against the truth.
