‼️🚨 BREAKING: A new npm supply-chain attack uses a dead-man's switch. The payload plants a watcher on your machine that nukes your home directory the second you revoke the GitHub token it stole from you. The compromise happened today, across 42 official tanstack npm packages, 84 malicious versions in total. tanstack/react-router alone pulls more than 12 million weekly downloads. The attacker forked TanStack's repository and pushed a single hidden commit. From there, they tricked TanStack's own release system into signing the malicious packages as if they were the real thing. To npm, and to anyone checking the cryptographic proof of origin (SLSA provenance), the poisoned versions looked 100% legitimate. Maintainer Tanner Linsley confirmed the whole team had 2FA enabled. It didn't matter. This is the first documented npm worm in history that ships with a valid, signed certificate of authenticity, the same one defenders rely on to know a package wasn't tampered with.

@slangchain @IntCyberDigest It doesn't matter. The assumption is everything is compromised. The point of it is that the isolation will prevent any issues on other containers or your system. At worst they may write to your repo if you have those access tokens.

Man Rips Womans Skin from Her Throat... Because of Mac & Cheese. A 25-year-old man from Rolla, Missouri, is sitting in jail after police say a simple argument over who got to eat the macaroni and cheese turned violent and left a woman with skin ripped from her throat. It all went down on March 30th, just before 6 p.m., at a residence where the woman works. She cooked dinner that included mac and cheese for Steven Wolfe and another person staying there, according to police reports. Wolfe got upset and told her the mac and cheese was only his, court documents say. When she tried to explain it was for everybody, he allegedly grabbed her, pinned her against the wall, and clawed right at her throat. She had just gotten a new tattoo there about five days earlier. He reportedly ripped the skin off, leaving a roughly three-inch laceration and blood running down the front of her shirt. Officers noted scratch marks on her back too. The victim managed to break free, and Wolfe simply sat back down at the kitchen table and started using his tablet, according to what police were told by witnesses. Another employee who saw the attack called authorities right away. When Rolla police arrived, the woman was still conscious and talking but said she couldn't really move her neck. She told them exactly what happened, and they documented the injuries on the spot. Wolfe now faces one count of first-degree assault causing serious physical injury. He's being held in the Phelps County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Over 2,000 Syrian Soldiers are said to have crossed the Al-Qa'im Border Checkpoint into Iraq earlier today, fleeing the ongoing Rebel Offensive from the North, South, and East. The Soldiers turned over Weapons and Heavy Equipment, including Tanks and BMPS, to Iraq Forces in order to request Asylum in the Country.

Interesting one here. American pollster account, solely focused on foreign policy with an emphasis on combatting 'russophobia'. Note the language and themes, common vernacular for some of my (real life) conservative friends. Marriage, lifestyle; I'm surprised the word "tradition" or "Christian" wasn't used. Thousands of these accounts build individual touch points, or what we'd call 'observables', all layered towards the same underlying Russia-positive or at least Russia-neutral theme. Some will be obvious, some less. This one's obvious. I'm a conservative. I voted for exactly who you think I did as a conservative. I discussed this on @Timcast and eyes rolled.
