@k0n1gCS Where are you compiling this data? For years I’ve referenced cantry.dev but it looks like it’s missing some of these sales. Thanks for putting this together

likely one of the most impactful announcements @coinbase is every going to make: - we might see a similar playbook to @BNBCHAIN, @binance - distribution will be impacted - base might be more recognized as 'decentralized' and therefore gain market share in both retail and continued institutional adoption
Brian Armstrong@brian_armstrong

We’re exploring a Base network token. It could be a great tool for accelerating decentralization and expanding creator and developer growth in the ecosystem. To be clear, there are no definitive plans. We’re just updating our philosophy. As of now, we’re exploring it.

Very surprised that no one has combined digital art auctions and live video streaming. Make it an event. Celebrate the artists. Create a real-time feedback loop as bidders see and hear their names during the sale.

Was at a crypto event tonight with people from all different ecosystems. When the Kanye coin dropped all the Solana people got out their laptops and were monitoring the situation. Everyone else was milling about wondering what was going on. If you want to be part of the action build in Solana. If you want to build where things are happening, build on Solana. If you want to build on a chain that can handle price discovery on a brand new multi billion dollar asset without even breaking a sweat, build on Solana.

The press on my professional debut has been brutal, and indeed, it was not my best showing as explained in my post below. From the press, however, most people likely assumed the score was 6-1, 6-1, and the first set was indeed a blowout. Some make much of the fact that it was over in about an hour without noting that Challenger doubles are no-ad with a tie breaker in lieu of the third set, and are typically completed in less than an hour. All of that said, the second set went much better than the first. I held one of my serves and we were up a break 4-3 with three break points to break again at 15-40. Had we converted any of the three break points — I missed one of them wide down the line on the service return — it would have been @JackSock to serve at 5-3 and we would likely have split sets. And we would have had momentum going into the tie breaker. We ended up losing the set 7-5. All in all a great experience for which I am eternally grateful.

I can speak in front of an audience of a thousand people or in a TV studio on a broad range of topics without any preparation and without a twinge of fear, but yesterday I had my first real experience with stage fright. I found myself on a tennis court in a live streamed professional tournament with a few hundred in the crowd. Throughout the match, my wrist, arm and body literally froze with the expected negative outcomes. I had difficulty breathing, and it was not a fitness issue. It got a bit better as the match progressed, but I was not able to overcome it. I regularly play with mid-20-year-old D1 college players and recently retired pros on a familiar court with no audience with none of the same symptoms. It was a very humbling experience that gives one even more respect for the pros who play for a living in front of the cameras and the crowds. We forget that they also need to manage the challenges of their carefully examined personal lives, their break ups, their emotions, financial stresses, and their mental health, family, and other challenges. Tennis is one of the few sports where the athlete is out there alone in front of the klieg lights for hours operating with incredible intensity with barely a bathroom break. And they might have been awakened in the middle of the previous night for a drug test while staying far from home. For all but the top players, they also struggle financially as they manage their small businesses working to recruit and retain talent, manage expenses, balance their budgets, and pay their taxes on time. Whatever respect we already have for these incredible athletes, it is not enough. They deserve more of our applause and appreciation.

Bill Ackman made his pro-tennis debut, entering a competitive ATP doubles tournament alongside four-time Grand Slam champion Jack Sock. In a little over an hour it was all over, a straight-set defeat to Bernard Tomic and Omar Jasika. Former World No. 1 Andy Roddick, now a podcaster, described it as “the biggest joke I’ve watched in professional tennis.” Ackman, 59, is a hedge fund manager who is the founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management. Forbes currently estimates his net worth at some $9.4 billion. He is also the board chair for the Professional Tennis Players Association. Here is a video:

What is even the point of crypto anymore, I'm genuinely curious. - We had NFTs with perpetual royalties for creators, we removed that. - We had microfinancing for underprivileged communities, privileged folks abused that and removed that. - We had close-knit communities of believers, we started incentivizing farmers and removed that. - We had private finance rails for the unbanked, we removed that. - We had secure identity for vulnerable populations, we sold out the data and removed that. - We had private payments, we rolled up into banks as end points and removed that. - We had alternative investment vehicles, we integrated with tradfi and removed that. So, what is even the point of crypto anymore, I'm genuinely curious.

This is why Ethereum is losing. People propose a very well speced and concretely motivated EIP then some alignment larp tells them "eth solves for economic incentives with real consequences". Bro do you realize your chain has 12 second block times? Do you realize your chain processes 100x fewer tps than Solana? Do you realize that economic activity has fled to Solana? Why don't you guys go solve those real economic problems then? Oh wait you can't because thats not your job. Your job is to "sell ethereum to tradfi", and the first EIP in years that might have helped you do that got killed because of religious zealotry on ACD. Gaurentee you if this EIP had passed you would be spam tweeting about how this was going to turbo charge ethereum ETFs or some other equally unoriginal take to the one you have offered here because that is what you do. You are basically an AI agent prompted with "whatever anyone says on X dot com, find a way to spin it into being bullish for ethereum".
Vivek Raman@VivekVentures

Reminder that this alt-L1 has no slashing—so staking is just theater to justify their inflation. ETH solves for economic incentives with real consequences. Others solve for getting their staking ETF approved quickly to mint more tokens to subsidize their data center validators.
