Dear 2024, You weren’t kind. You were the storm I never asked for but desperately needed. You pushed me out of my comfort zone, shattered my plans, and left me to rebuild. And for that, I’m strangely grateful. #GoodBye2024 A thread 🧵

i grew up in delhi dreaming of building tech millions of people couldn't live without. today, @wisprflow is officially live in india! before this launch, i flew to india to answer one question: does wispr flow actually work here? in the back of an auto with horns blaring. a mumbai gym with punjabi music at full volume. a dhaba with the waiter rattling off the menu faster than you can type. we went and found out - it worked every single time. india became our second biggest market on its own. we 3x'd growth in 3 months with no campaigns or partnerships. people just found wispr flow organically and made it part of their daily life. the least we could do was show up for them properly. so we're launching wispr flow in india with hinglish & android support. because it's the way i've spoken my whole life. and the way everyone around me still does. grateful to my co-founder @sahajgarg6, our india lead @findingnimo_, and everyone who made this possible.

Iran's embassies across the planet are using X to garner support in those countries and to troll USA and Trump. But Iranian people living in Iran cannot use X communicate with the world. That's exactly the system I cannot support.

Lebanon’s president and prime minister have no shame in attacking Israel for doing what they should have done: striking Hezbollah. After thousands of attacks on Israel from their territory, they offer no apology - and rather come with demands. They did not disarm Hezbollah. They did not and do not prevent it from firing on Israel. They lied when they claimed they had demilitarized the area up to the Litani. Now we must do it instead of them. Hezbollah ministers still serve in the Lebanese government, and the Iranian ambassador remains in Beirut, openly defying their own decisions. It is time to start acting against Hezbollah. In deeds, not words. And if you are incapable of doing so - at least do not get in the way.

From Manmohan Singh bringing Obama to Indian Parliament to openly state that Pakistan is a safe haven for Terrorists, to Pakistan mediating and announcing ceasefire between USA and Iran. Sad reversal at world stage.

Sorry Dr MMS ji and the UPA government, for the 2014 blunder. I got carried away and was heavily influenced by constant protests and daily anti-government news, and I criticised one of India’s finest Prime Ministers. Now Looking back, 2004–14 feels like a golden era for India

Using human shields to protect bridges and power stations proves our enemies views Israel and America as more compassionate than themselves and view this compassion as a weakness to be exploited.

We Japanese witnessed this more than half a century ago when we fought against the Americans. When one of their military aircraft was shot down and the pilot found himself adrift alone in the vast Pacific, they did not hesitate to send out a Catalina flying boat to search for him and rescue him, despite the risk of being shot down themselves. We were not capable of doing that. And so we were defeated. In that sense, the Americans have not changed at all since those days. That is precisely what makes them America.
