I’m often asked about the pegboard scene in VISION QUEST. That was all me. No stunt doubles or safety measures. I trained for a long time and had to climb it several times to get all the angles. The “trick” is not to over extend, so you’d be pulling up your entire body weight. You have to keep it compact. This is one of the funniest movies of the early 1990s and it holds up incredibly well three decades later. The fact that it was directed by Ellis from Die Hard is still wild even to this day

@jo_90207 @TheCinesthetic So funny! I worked at a video store when this happened in 1989 / 1990. Years after the film was long out on home video. Rentals for the VHS skyrocketed. I laughed when it was revealed that it was merely a cardboard cutout of Ted Danson in a top hat and tails, not a real ghost.

Three Men and a Baby was the biggest movie of 1987, bigger than Lethal Weapon, Predator, RoboCop, Evil Dead II, and The Lost Boys. That year’s box office really moved differently.
