@hum_dunkin The Overseas Territories are essentially independent nations with their own governments and laws. It wasn’t until 2002 when they got British citizenship by default. Westminster doesn’t tax or govern them. We just provide security.

@GooseplanJD @stendhalist In 1982 they weren’t British citizens. The British Overseas Territories have their own citizenship. In 1983 people from the Falklands became citizens and 2002 for the rest. The Falklands is essentially an independent country.

@BadGeef I think people are incredibly misinformed about how the Falklands operate. They hear colony and think people in Westminster tax and govern them but they don’t. The Falklands manages its own affairs and Westminster has no say with the exception of military

@nyxcritter 3D printing seems really good if you have a proper use case. Making prototypes or low volume specialised parts but most people aren’t engineers or designers so they make plastic toys and trinkets that become landfill waste

we watch a guy on youtube who uses a lot of 3d printed parts on his racecars. he's got a really high end printer and almost never uses 3d prints for anything structural, it seems to work really well for making little wiring brackets and not a lot else

@FrogChronoTrigr @CorbynRed What is "full on with the cyberpunk aspects"? To me cyberpunk is a genre that has degrees to it. I would call Mr Robot a cyberpunk show as it meets a lot of the genre's themes it's just a lot lower tech compared to something like Neuromancer.

@FrogChronoTrigr @CorbynRed Most cyberpunk games go light on net running as it’s essentially a different game. When I’ve played shadowrun we typically have the net runner be an npc and fudge the rolls because having 1 player have multiple turns in combat gets boring for the other players

Not including pasture land but all the land and water used for animal feed. California uses 9billion gal of water a day for Alfalfa that’s used almost exclusively as animal feed
