@ziontree It’s a bear. I did it for one of my books, mainly because I wanted it to be in my own voice (since the book was). The next three books…nope. To me it’s worth the experience, but only once. Happy I did it, but I never want to do it again.

Do I know any authors who have recorded an audiobook? Was it worthwhile? It seems laborious, but I’d prefer to do it in my own voice than have AI do it. How about people who listen to them? Appreciate any tips/thoughts.

Perhaps (and I know there are character limits) saying who loaned this artifact to you would be common courtesy…

#TechTuesday: NCSC’s Wall of Spies Artifact, the Lorenz SZ 40/42, known as TUNNY. This encryption machine was used by the German High Command during WWII, but its code was broken by the British, yielding insights into German strategy and helping the Allies in the D-Day invasion.

@elie_foube16925 Could be worse…could be better. Not sure why they thought an Iranian foreign policy analyst was the best person for this review…

I suck at self-promotion, but since it’s the gift-giving season…I’ve written three books. People outside my family have enjoyed them. Nuking the Moon (quirky history!) The Nuclear Spies (more serious, but spooks, nukes, and Nazis) Covert City (the city built by spies)

@intelhistorian Have Covert City and do like the Nuking the Moon book. Nuclear Spies of great interest too. Any fourth book in the future?
