@iremlopsum

I have a thing for lots of things. Play around with React Native a lot. Tech lead @ Uptip. Sometimes make beats.

@TwitchSupport For multiple days I'm unable to sign up. After email + password, it sends an SMS with a code. I never receive this SMS. The phone number is definitely correct, since I've received messages there before

@levelsio Where do you host this if I may ask? How expensive is it to run that model for 85 people (based on the picture)? And what specs does the machine have where you are hosting it?

FINALLY taking off Thank god I almost gave up on the idea Llama 3 saved my startup

🧠 TherapistAI.com now runs on Llama3-70B It's WAY better than Mixtral which is what I was running it on before, and it's now almost as good as GPT4 according to the benchmarks, but in my experience it's even better for therapy Now with Llama3-70B: - conversation like ping-pong replies - often short and to the point - very actionable and problem solving - asking clarifying questions - great memory It remembers and asks you if you suddenly change something, like today I told I was testing it with a story like "I'm addicted to videogames and want to find a gf" then later I asked it about my gf and it replied "but you didn't have a gf before?" I'm testing Llama3-8B locally now too with LMStudio, if that works well enough I can start building a client side version of 🧠 Therapist AI which is the end goal for full privacy All the previous features I built like voice messages (STT and TTS both ways), vision image recognition, still work with Llama3 too

@Erwin_AI pnpm is many times faster & eliminates installing the same dependency across multiple packages or workspaces. Saves time & disk space. bun is a lot of things, depending on what you’re using it for. But in this context, it acts as a package manager. Also blazing fast.

Can someone explain me Vercel/Next.js? I feel down the hypetrain and been using firebase/Google cloud for years now. What are some of the benefits? Do I get the same amount of free stuff? Who is it meant for?

@daltonuiux I'm top of nit-picky stuff that everyone already said. All of this looks too uniform. I don't know where to put my eyes, it all looks the same, there's no logic in what order I should consume the info given to me

@Templeteen @buninux Yeah, no. And I'm saying this as a person who has built a Figma -> React Native tool. I support the idea 100%. But this just won't happen any time soon. Probably not before true AGI, and even then the most precise way of describing an expected result is code.

@wesleytodd @ChaunceyHutter3 But in this instant you kind of always expect the res to be a json that gets parsed automatically/internally. Not sure that simplification is worth the confusion that comes along with it

@ChaunceyHutter3 You mean the typo of forgetting the await? It’s twitter, you gotta read intent.

This will forever bother me: await (await fetch(url)).json() Nearly zero of my use cases are best with fetch so I hardly ever use it, so I hope someone tells me "there is a better way".

@cmgriffing Pretty cool, but if speed was the priority then a for loop would be the fastest though.

User in chat (now banned): The "fill then map" is obviously slower because of extra iterations. Me: Laughs in JIT

@morajabi @NoorChat Wanted to use it with my team. Complaints were following: no mobile app, i don't want to learn a new software. If it would be cross-platform I think I would have convinced them to try

@kkuldar A good simple time tracking app. Nothing fancy. Lives locally. Spits out an CSV file for the period I want.
