@iRobot Warning; do not buy one of these vacuums.
During the Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, or immediately after the purchase by Shenzhen Picea Robotics, they bricked my i7 with a firmware update.
This was after they spent 6 months sending me nonstop emails trying to get me to upgrade.
@iRobot I bought a robot in August and still in the warranty the support is very very bad and is not helping at all, I have contacted via email and instagram without any resolution

@iRobot Nope. Just the vacuum bin is installed. Weird that it’s always confused. Would be nice if something that cost hundreds of dollars worked even half the time
@iRobot anyone want a free Roomba, come get it. Paid $400 in December 2024. It’s never worked properly. Wanders around lost, not cleaning, then goes back to the charger to tell me it can’t charge correctly. @iRobot blew me off until the warranty expired and won’t back the product

Is it just my bad luck, or do @iRobot roombas lose about 80 IQ points at year 1. JFC. Trying to roll over its own base during mapping (because it seemingly cannot remember a map) and getting 'stuck'. Never again.
@iRobot Your latest app needed to use your newer models is obviously an app designed by the lowest bidder. it is beyond worthless because it is not intuitive at all. for example a robot is stuck how to locate it??? All your app has is a worthless "more info" option. There is no documentation on the interface of the new app at all. so the user is just going to become very frustrated. When I was in the IT business that app would never have even made alpha stage testing. it's interface is beyond not user friendly other than looking pretty it is effectivly non functional, its integration with google home is very poor so even that is worthless.

@iRobot what is going on with support? Bought my 3rd roomba and it stoppped working and your support team asked for info which I sent over a week ago. I can’t get anyone to respond and I’ve spent weeks working on this expensive product. Help

@iRobot would not recommend purchasing an iRobot. The hardware of my device works however there is a software issue and I can’t use the iRobot app. Customer service was terrible, I was even hung up on. Their only solution is for me to buy a brand new unit.

My favorite thing about my roomba is they say only to use their mop solution but then it’s just never available to buy so either I have a robot vacuum that mops with just water, or I use other solution and void my warranty 😂😂

I’m not going to worry about robots taking over the world until my @iRobot vacuum learns how to not get stuck under the same piece of furniture 4 times in a single run, every time it runs
@iRobot Do not buy an iRobot. No spare parts, no repair service bought an i7, cleaning base developed a fault. iRobot don't care. There is literally no way of fixing a small fault, so you have to throw a £700 machine in the bin. This is the most un-enviromentaly sound policy imaginable.
@iRobot Plus I'm in the Netherlands...and even though the lady was friendly, the progress of the solution goes really slow, due to my autism there now is a gap in my routine...
@iRobot i'm reaching out, I'm hoping I receive an answer this way. I was promised that a return label would be sent to me and I would receive a new robot replacement. Because my current robot is not functioning anymore. Please help

@iRobot as long time customers we updated to a roomba 405 which was described as being pet friendly and knowing to avoid dog poo. It wasn't. Today it drove directly into a pile of dog poo and gave us poomageddon. Emailed customer service, got a dismissive reply that was no help. Tried calling the number. super nice woman kept getting shut down by her bosses and couldn't even get documentation on how to access the wheels to clean them or how to access other nearly impossible to access parts. She was literally told, "Just tell them to clean it and it will be fine." So in the end, the woman, who sounded like she was crying told me that she was told to say "Just clean the robot", without being given the info needed on how to take apart to access the pieces I need to clean in order to clean it. That's not the customer service I would expect from you. I have two people in my house with chronic autoimmune disorders. I need my house clean which is part of why we bought the roombas. Massive fail here. At least tell me how to take the thing apart enough to get the wheels and other impossible to reach areas clean.

@iRobot - why is it so hard to get any support for iRobot products? I’ve been trying to reach the support for the past two days- unsuccessfully.
Local service team in Chennai are not very helpful either and can’t get me any definitive answers.
