This leads to a relative, subacute, and technically non-pathological by labs, cortisol excess. This can lead to truncal obesity, bloat, low libido, fatigue, and sleep disturbances to simply name a few. Like any medication there are going to be very good reasons sometimes to reach for them. And contraception is a political topic which I don’t want this discussing to be made messy by. Like any potentially unnecessary medication. Always ask, “Do I need to be in this right now?” And if not consider stopping.
