I answered to someone else below but I see there are tons of people that just don't know history so let me help you out so we can actually understand what is going on here: Back in 1994 there was this actual signed treaty by Russia, the United States & the United Kingdom. It is called the Budapest Memorandum. After the Soviet Union dissolved Ukraine ended up w/the 3rd largest Nuclear arsenal in the world. We, The United States took ALL OF THEIR NUKES. Yes we literally took each & everyone. In exchange we agreed along with Russia & the Uk that Ukraine would have its independence , sovereignty & existing borders. We all also agreed to never use force against Ukraine, & also that if Ukraine was ever threatened we would protect them. So that is why @ZelenskyyUa is asking for assurances. WE OWE them but most Americans that are fed up w/helping Ukrainians do not know this. WE literally broke the treaty & are now extorting them in order for us to abide by it and now want their minerals as well; these minerals are for weapons it is not gold, or oil, it is for WEAPONS. We want more from Ukraine & are bullying them when we broke our agreement. Trump is making him beg for US to keep OUR part of the deal while we have ALL of their nuclear weapons.

Trump is spreading an incredibly racist and bigoted lie about Haitian-Americans on the national debate stage.

Haitian minorities in Ohio are experiencing an alarming rise in threats and harassment. This escalation, fueled by far-right rhetoric and seen here on X, demands urgent attention. Both the Haitian community and political leaders must come together to address this growing hostility and ensure the safety of Haitians everywhere. Stronger advocacy and swift action are crucial to protect Haitian lives, not only in Ohio but across the world.

Statement of the Haitian-American Foundation for Democracy Once again, the Trump/Vance team shamelessly exploits Haitians as scapegoats during their bid for the presidency. Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance and several congressional leaders have spread dangerous falsehoods, demonizing Haitian immigrants as homeless and hungry invaders that represent a threat to Ohioans — even suggesting they pose a danger to pets. This reckless fear-mongering puts vulnerable communities at risk, stokes division, and incites hate crimes. Local law enforcement, faith communities, and social services must be supported in protecting these new community members from harm.
