@JohnJohnStewart @francesca_kms All those photos were taken less than a mile from my house, all taken in the 18 months before we got filtered streets, which are, as always, for people.

@JohnJohnStewart @francesca_kms Through traffic always ends up on main roads. When through traffic is prevented turning on and off main roads, traffic flows better. Less accidents, less delays. It’s also distributed differently, so peak times are busier, off peaks are quieter.

@joncstone @BrentCyclists Half a crossing is better than no crossing, but requiring cycle users to travel in the opposing lane to use it is not great, possibly making the crossing more hazardous.

Not sure what’s going on here: these bollards are in the way for foot traffic and make the narrow area at this point even narrower. Is the pavement being removed here?
