@prwright55 @donchokola @YokohamaRides That’s quite a story you have there. But that’s all it is, a story.
English

@itsjono @donchokola @YokohamaRides So the answer is for delivery vehicles to clog up neighbouring streets and take much longer to drop off goods due to having to trolley or walk longer distances? Marvellous plan if you dont care about gridlock elsewhere
English

@prwright55 @donchokola @YokohamaRides There are other streets. Delivery drivers have legs and trolleys. Cargo bikes exist.
English

@donchokola @YokohamaRides So how do they deliver if there is only a cycle lane and pedestrians as shown in the video? Which was my original question.
English

@JohnJohnStewart @francesca_kms All those photos were taken less than a mile from my house, all taken in the 18 months before we got filtered streets, which are, as always, for people.
English

@JohnJohnStewart @francesca_kms Through traffic always ends up on main roads. When through traffic is prevented turning on and off main roads, traffic flows better. Less accidents, less delays. It’s also distributed differently, so peak times are busier, off peaks are quieter.

Open letter from Northumberland Park & Tottenham Hale Labour Councillors/candidates to Cabinet leads @IbrahimAli1_ and @CllrSeema demanding immediate action on traffic safety concerns in the Avenues/North Tottenham.

@CllrSeema @haringeycouncil @mikehakata Thanks Seema, I’ve come off here a few years ago, and I’ve seen 2 other people go down at this corner, it’s a busy active travel link between St Anns, West Green and Green Lanes.
English

@itsjono @haringeycouncil @mikehakata Hi Jonathan
I hadn’t noticed you request this before, sorry. I’ll see what can be done. On a road safety perspective it feels like an ideal spot to grit.
English

My 5th annual request to @haringeycouncil to grit the intersection of Stanhope & Warwick Gardens. Maybe this year will be the year?

Modern slavery risks are hiding in UK logistics.
Gig-economy delivery models can leave businesses exposed under the #ModernSlaveryAct.
At Pedal Me, all riders are directly employed, trained & legally checked.

@carlafrancome @BeauJangle21 Both great threads, Carla. I don’t know what to do about Green Lanes. We’re stuck with a shameful Haringey-sized gap.
English

@joncstone @BrentCyclists Half a crossing is better than no crossing, but requiring cycle users to travel in the opposing lane to use it is not great, possibly making the crossing more hazardous.
English

Brent is planning an upgrade of the 'Quietway 3' cycle route from Kilburn station to Gladstone Park - involves four new parallel zebra crossings to help people get over junctions. Seems useful! Consultation here haveyoursay.brent.gov.uk/en-GB/projects… @BrentCyclists

@CllrSeema @HaringeyLiving That is excellent news, thank you.
English

@itsjono @HaringeyLiving Hi Jonathan
Yes. Trees, although in planting season so I believe after summer.
