@observerug President Yoweri Museveni has maintained relative peace and economic growth for decades. Many countries struggle to achieve that consistency, why dismiss it outright?

Museveni has no choice but to give friends a transitional cabinet. But what does swearing-in an 82-year-old head of state mean for country? Even if this were a machine, having not upgraded it in the last forty years signals a problem. There is no machine good enough for forty years straight; despite the quality of servicing. We are in a nervous condition, but sadly decided to bury our heads in the sand observer.ug/viewpoint/muse…

@HakiimsWampamba @mofpedU @BOU_Official What if they asked the Dr presidential advisor and he is okay with the bill? Have you not seen some people supporting the bill yet they should be the ones to tell the government that the bill is bad?

@FGoloobaMutebi You joke with politicians in Uganda. They assume they are rich when they hit the parliament floor and don't plan for the future with privileges

@ProtecTheSteal @KakandeAlex @gittaarnie You're relating the word to the company. Just like how you call all fuel stations 'shell'. These are kyanja rentals we are talking about not picked off the official Airbnb website.

@KakandeAlex @gittaarnie Shouldn’t AirBnB the parent company be sued?. They should be responsible for the actions of the house owners who use their platforms.

I'm getting small bits and bits of this Kyanja AirBnB Saga but I always say, get the culprits who decided to record people and put it out there. We need to sometimes make it costly for doing illegal things in this country. Don't let them get away with it.

@Sambannz @nssfug He never disappoint to speak the truth when he is in that country. But question is why does he sound like he is not in charge or part of that government that steals. I love him for his truth bites whenever he is called to outside countries or even conferences.

She has it all wrong and it's why marriages fail. You submit to the "office" of the husband first. The husband himself is secondary. When I join a company I submit to the CEO, even if the CEO is less qualified, less intelligent than me. I perform my duty and yield to his decisions even when I don't agree with them. I accepted this hierarchical arrangement the day I signed my contract which told me who I report to and am subordinate to. If the CEO makes a decision I don't agree with, I won't berate him or disobey him, rather, I will send a respectful email or memo sharing my perspective. A good CEO will at least listen to my perspective. But if upon considering my viewpoint still he decides he will stick with his original decision, I have to submit to that decision and carry them out without further complaint. This is how a functional *institution* operates. Yes, marriage is an institution too. Don't get it twisted. Women seem to want men to constantly have to earn their submission as though it were optional. And that's where the problem starts. If you cannot submit to your man on the basis of his title alone you have no business getting married. Stay single and submit to nobody except your loneliness. At the same time, this is not an excuse for men to be lazy and not fulfil their roles. I would therefore advise women to pick men based on providing capabilities rather than looks and vibes. Of course I can understand why you wouldn't want to submit to a poor man. So don't marry one! But if he is a provider you must submit. Period.

Several deliveries of these numberless brand new Toyota Hilux pick ups in batches of 15 escorted by Police patrol trucks were made last night from I believe the CFAO Namanve branch to a bond off Lugogo bypass. Donations?Government never lacks money for new cars unlike medicare.

@SolomonSerwanjj Protection of Sovereignty bill , in the meaning of the word itself sounds it’s a good bill We have to protect the Sovereignty of the country from those who want to buy off our politicians, ounce a politician is bought, he or she ceases to serve the citizens but the funders .

It is surprising that the Protection of Sovereignty bill 2026 has been put on today’s order paper for second reading. I am not sure if this is a mistake but if it is not then the public consultation time issued by the clerk to parliament is up to 24th/04. Why the rush?

Let's use sense, Ap. Grace Lubega & Phaneero acquired land from gov't at a fee. Whereas it is important to have a medical facility, the Uganda Heart Institute must pay @Phanerookampala to acquire the land. We shouldn't bully anyone off what they rightfully own. #MyView

@DailyMonitor @mukulaa Watch who the state carries to such a milestone meeting. In organised societies, very well established private sector players will make most of the delegation. But here in Uganda you will see pastors, stooges and politicians making majority of the delegation.

@DavidLRubongoya Does the Party NRM have its own Money ? Let’s not always assume that the Party takes money from the National Treasury to enrage the public There are many sources the party can get money including from its rich supporters in the business community.

40bn squeezed out of a struggling, poverty-stricken, heavily indebted population and gifted to NRM MPs. All known public finance procedures thrown outside the window! Many times, you wonder what more you can say about this country called Uganda. Did I hear Museveni tell those MPs not to be corrupt? Only to crown the retreat with a grand corruption scandal! #FreeUgandaNow
