@CrunchCardwell @Bairdric1 Menu prices in the UK are generally lower than the US, despite staff earning a minimum of £12.20 ($16/hr) It is actually possible to pay staff decent wages while not ripping off customers at the same time.

@Bairdric1 All costs are passed on to consumers. Where do you think the money would come from if restaurants started paying servers $25-35/hr?

Working class people going out for a nice meal shouldn’t have to pay the wages of the other working class people serving them. Thats the owners responsibility of the restaurant owner. The rest of the world manages it. Maybe you Yanks are wrong?

@IgnisMetallum @JenResistedAGN Yet when it comes to ‘a man shall never lay with another man’ the Bible is to be taken 100% literally and not interpreted in any alternate way. Classic.

@rbakh_ @theapplehub Yeah and they were shit.. The iPhone wasn’t the first smartphone either. Innovation is designing products that actually work, not rushing half-baked ideas to market for the sake of being first.

Mark Zuckerberg on Apple: “I feel like they haven’t really invented anything great in a while. It’s like Steve Jobs invented the iPhone and now they’re just kind of sitting on it 20 years later. ..So how are they making more money as a company? Well, they do it by basically like squeezing people.” Do you agree?

@Wheddsta Smoke and mirrors. Salaries are higher but so is the cost of living. Also, 2 weeks annual leave and they can fire you on the spot at any time? Slaves have more rights.

Just looking at jobs in the US, it’s an actual joke how badly we get paid in the UK.

@EudaimoniaEsq 26°C is nice weather, but when every piece of infrastructure is designed to trap as much heat as possible it doesn’t always feel it.

@TechByAero @aidancwest @lexlaviva @RealMona_ The original post refers to autofilling security codes sent via text message. iPhones have had that since 2014. “Text message forwarding” simply allows Macs and iPads to do the same as they don’t have typically have a cellular connection.

@elon_musk_shona @kylecoolky @lakshyalark @MKBHD IPX9 refers to high-temperature, high-pressure water jets, it has nothing to do with depth. Again, an easily verifiable fact. The Apple Watch is literally rated for 50 metres underwater and still uses the IPX8 rating - there’s not going to be a separate one just for the iPhone.

I recently got to visit some Apple labs where they durability test new iPhones before they come out, and learned a few things (🧵THREAD) #1: Have you actually seen how they water test phones for IP ratings? (video)
