This looks like you're running into the classic scaling up dilemma "There's an interesting phenomena that occurs when you animate an object's scale that makes it appear to change speed even with a linear ease; ExpoScaleEase compensates for this effect by bending the easing curve accordingly. This is the secret sauce for silky-smooth zooming/scaling animations." gsap.com/docs/v3/Eases/… You also may want to pin the container as you scale the image up. Have fun!

@_KyleCraven Thank you, Kyle! Well, both has pros and cons, Taxi imho require lot of manual* setup compare to barba in which already have lots of hooks that you can use. Taxi is a bit *snappier compare to barba, definitely going to be my go to transition lib now.
