Now that I no longer work there, I will say that something I really disliked about Google (and this may just be a Big Tech thing and not unique to them) is how much of the job was self promoting and the theatrics of demonstrating impact.

@thisistechtoday Can't you normalize to the same high and low but instead have increased resolution within those extents? I'm not an in audio though, so maybe something like codec handles that.

This is a better way to imagine it in concept It's about "the noise floor," "dynamic range," and "headroom" and won't matter to you as a listener because it doesn't affect you. It's all on the front end before it gets processed, exported, and mastered for you to listen to.

24-Bit audio makes no sense for earbuds and headphones. 🧵 It's a number on a spec sheet that has no tangible benefit for you, the listener. It's all about what is happening going in, that is, when recording/capturing audio and editing it. This right here is wrong:

@stubbornella This is the biggest reason I've been trying to switch to snoozing stuff I need to do later. I'm so glad more and more messaging platforms are supporting it.

Worst habit: I save emails and DMs I’m most excited about for later… especially if they require deep thinking or time investment. Then I forget once they drift off the first page. 🙈
