Do you get mind blown over how little customer service reps actually think about customer service? Or is it just me? Flew into Atlanta last night and made my way to pickup my rental. There was a gigantic sign that encouraged everyone to scan a QR code and skip the line. So I opted to not get in line, worked my way through the self check out only to have it error out at the end. I then cut the line to ask a rep what I should do and the rep was incredulous because I was asking her about an online thing. Zero help there. Got in line and waited my turn. Mentioned it to a different rep and she said that it had been doing that all day. I asked her why they didn’t put a sign over the sign (or take it away) and all she gave me was a blank stare. Everyone did the QR code to be faster but it did the opposite, it made for delays. Blows my mind how little thought people give to actually being helpful especially when it’s their job. (Not complaining, just commentary 😅)

@jamestgordon @Watchman_motto Very ‘gritty’ but that’s such a shit material that it’s bearing no load here. There’s something superior holding that facade up obviously. Whixh fine, but it’s a gimmick not a construction technique

Fact - if you can make things you need out of plywood, you’ll have nicer rooms than if you bought things at the store. Plywood beats plastic or particle board furniture from ikea every day. Don’t let me catch you disrespecting the ply.

When you find out how easy it is to recycling your outdated electronics with @PXS_ITAD ... ... that moment hits like a buzzer-beater. We're talkin': ☑️ fast pickups ☑️ easy scheduling ☑️ asset audit reports ☑️ certificates of recycling ☑️ certificates of destruction ☑️ on site hard drive shredding ☑️ community impact ($285k to date) ☑️ naid aaa certified for peace of mind All of this for $0 charge (for our larger volume clients)! Smaller business here in The Lou? We've got you too–same experience, just a modest pickup fee + per lbs charge. Curious tho, did your bracket survive this Duke/UConn finish?

@TylerPurcell24 This IT lady saw my whoop and asked how it's been. I told her I have a 325 day strike going with it and got it to improve my sleep. It tells me that I'm older than I actually am and I've not done one dang thing with all the data. It's changed nothing!

This blows my mind. I used Whoop for a while. Here’s what I found: - I wasn’t using the data to change anything I workout almost daily no matter how i feel. Bad sleep rating? I have 3 kids. I can’t just catch up on sleep and recovery. Who is truly finding this information invaluable and actually using it to improve their life?

BREAKING: WHOOP RAISES $575M AT $10.1B VALUATION  I am pleased to announce that we’ve raised $575M at a $10.1B valuation to accelerate our mission of unlocking human performance and healthspan globally. This round was led by Collaborative Fund with participation from 2PointZero Group, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mubadala Investment Company, Abbott, Mayo Clinic, Macquarie Capital, Glade Brook, B-Flexion, IVP, Foundry, Accomplice, Affinity Partners, Promus Ventures, and Bullhound Capital alongside a group of individual investors including Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Rory McIlroy, Virgil van Dijk, and Mathieu van der Poel. This investor group and this moment reflect a powerful evolution underway for Whoop and the broader healthcare market. Whoop was born in performance - trusted by the best athletes in the world to train, recover, and compete at the highest level. That foundation remains core to who we are. You see that in the iconic athlete investors joining this round.  But it also represents our push into broader health.  In the past 12 months, WHOOP has received medical clearances, launched blood testing, and created a platform that has saved lives. Abbott and Mayo Clinic - two of the most respected and influential institutions in global healthcare - are now investors in Whoop. These are organizations that have shaped modern medicine. Their decision to partner with us is a clear validation of where our technology is headed. Healthcare systems around the world are reactive. For too long, they have waited for people to get sick, then intervene. Chronic disease is rising and costs continue to climb. At Whoop, we believe the future looks fundamentally different. We are building the most powerful, personal, preventive health platform in the world - powered by continuous biometric data, advanced analytics, and AI to help people understand their bodies and improve their health in real time. I am grateful to our team, our members, and our partners for believing in this vision. I’ve been building this company for 14 years and I’ve never been more excited for the future.

Not today, Satan! But for real though, stoked to have sold over 31k items over the last 15 years and for all the happy buyers. That’s tens of thousands of electronics still in use, not prematurely recycled (recycling is good, but circularity is better), or worse ... thrown in the dump. Looking forward to our next 4 reviews so we’re no longer bearing the mark of the beast! 😂

This happens all the time for us with electronics recycling. If an IT director leaves, it's not uncommon for us to lose the account, but then sometimes we get the new location they go to. You doing anything to make yourself more sticky and have more contacts with accounts like this going forward?

Lost a client today I’d had for 10 years. We did nothing wrong. The founder’s son took over. Didn’t know us. Didn’t ask about us. Just started hiring every marketing company that knocked on his door. He called to tell me they hired someone else who “offered to throw in digital marketing too.” That’s a recipe for disaster. They’re running radio ads now. For a company that’s the only local provider of their product in the area. You can’t even buy what they sell anywhere else. But sure. Radio ads. Ten years of results meant nothing the moment the decision maker changed. That’s not a knock on him. He’s figuring it out. That’s just the reality of building relationships with people, not companies. When the person leaves, sometimes you leave with them. Just the way it goes.

You’re welcome! Btw… any organic chamomile tea will do, however this Numi Sweet Slumber chamomile tea is my favorite & in short supply right now. Was $6.50 ea in December, Amazon has more than doubled its price for one box at $14.50 but found it at a local World Market store today for $7.99 ea.

I've been drinking a special sleep tea 2 hours before bed and it's changed my life: It contains chamomile, glycine, and electrolytes. Chamomile relaxes me, while glycine improves sleep quality. The electrolytes help me absorb water, so I don't wake up to go pee at night.

Do you see this work of art? I fought tooth an nail for one of these. 5 pages of them, all up for TEN CENTS. One person took the whole lot. I bid them up like a lunatic and they still beat me. I did manage to snag 3 smaller ones. A wise man once said, "buy with math, sell with emotion." I did not do this. But I am the proud new owner of some library goods that will be a HUGE help for ops behind the scenes.

A year ago this week I was sitting in a hoop house. VERY pregnant. 3 kids. 50 meat chicks. Not 5. Not 10. FIFTY. Why did we get 50 for our first time and not 5…10… shoot, even 30? We asked ourselves that MANY times. If you’re new here, you know it’s tough for me to not go 150% in all areas of my life. Butcher day hit when I was 38 weeks pregnant. You want some cheap entertainment? Just imagine… a whale of a lady forearm deep in chicken carcasses. I was given the job of gutting them all. It took 4 our us 5 hours. But all 50 were swiftly processed before the sun got too hot. We couldn’t look at chicken for 2 months. Would we do it again? Are you nuts? But a freezer full of heritage meat you raised yourself? Tastes different.

Running the @sweatystartup playbook on hiring remote in-house. - make a JD - post on LI to desired country - promote for $100/day for a week - get ~ 1k applicants - engage and receive a 5% response rate - hire best applicant ... just a few more applications to wade thru 👀

Our customers ask us for merchandise all the time One of the main reasons we haven’t done much is because we have had trouble finding merch companies that actually manufacture and print clothing here in the USA This is a great thread of American made clothing companies If there are any American-Made merch companies out there that want to collaborate—feel free to DM us or email us at info@meriwetherfarms.com Thank you in advance!

There's a pervasive belief that we no longer produce clothes in the United States. This is not true. In this thread, I will tell you about some great made-in-USA brands — some that run their own factories, while others are US brands contracting with US factories. 🧵

Six years ago, I did an episode called Cattle Industry 101 that was very popular. On Monday, I'm sitting down with Jordan Levi - the largest cattle feeder in America. We're going to dig even further into the cattle industry and what's going on today. What would you like to know?

First marketplace sale of the day: this snowplow. Listed and sold in 5 minutes might be a new record. Probably could have listed it for double if we would have included this video of me plowing out our driveway. Full disclosure: the only reason I was plowing is because my husband wanted to test out his new drone. But not too shabby for a book slangin fashionista, right?
