So ... with AI right now, I mainly: - craft specs - review and adjust plans, steer AI - review code - have to heavily steer / write tests because AI will just take the happy path otherwise Awesome - I'm left with the bs tasks whilst the part that was genuinely fun (= writing the code) is taken away. And yeah, I am excited by being able to move fast with Claude Code, Codex etc. But I'll be honest: I've had more fun in the past.

I do wonder how people read documentation at times, since I am far from the norm. I read a lot of source code of even heavily documented stuff, because it is usually quicker for me to understand how something works by reading it. What do y'all do?!

Have you noticed how ai influencers and salesmen are trying to gaslight you with inflated lines of code metrics? More lines of code means you're buying more tokens. They want you to feel fake productivity as you see number of tokens going up. Measure what's actually important!
