A PA has been suspended following 7 attempts at a LP on a young pt. The pt was also prescribed diazepam due to her autism which the PA refused to give because she ‘ didn’t need it ‘ . He then falsified her medical records @AneurinBevanUHB you were warned walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-new…

I’m sorry my sympathy is not with the BMA who are striking for 6 days after getting a 35% pay rise in two years. I support pay restoration but these are just bully tactics that are going to increase support for banning medical staff from striking.

Another politician recognising the worth of Drs. Streeting's funding £25-£75m a year for PAs. For those unaware what a PA is. They're undertrained, unregulated assistants who haven't studied medicine. Streetings deskilling NHS staff at patients' expense.

@DHSCgovuk So what? The public don’t know half of the problem, but you know. You know that Doctors are fighting for patient safety. Pay is important and is too low for qualified professional life savers - but the rest? It will lead to patient harm. Tell the public everything NOW.

As a Company Director, I’d be in serious trouble if I expected my staff to do as much unpaid overtime as you expect Resident Drs to do. What other group do this? I’ve told you to stop the gaslighting and pay Drs properly.

Too many ANPs try and fool us patients (stethoscope round neck,“I’m part of medical team”). Want to do a doctor’s job? Go lift those heavy books at med school.

Couldn’t agree more. A good consultant ex-colleague of mine in Plymouth had a GMC concern raised as he refused to supervise or teach PAs There needs to be a paradigm shift or UK medicine will be damaged beyond repair. No supervising PAs/ACPs

Doctors earn less than my admin team. My staff demand to be paid for every hour they work, sometimes at double time I do this because they are worth it. Drs deserve this.

Fuck 'em, how many pay rises have they had? They are as bad as train drivers, while the rest of us working class have to slog it out and live by our means without the option to strike every couple of months. MPs and public-sector workers, as well as the jobless scroungers who live their lives on benefits, are all getting an above-inflation pay rise of 6.3%. What do the rest of us get? sweet FA!
