Me and mate were chatting about the hate David Baddiel gets from the Left, despite him almost never talking about the Middle East. He is hounded by his past use of blackface for example

This is a scary statistics but it’s somewhat irrelevant. It needs to be conditioned by the distributions of miles traveled by a passenger in that vehicle. Most people ride motorcycles on weekends, less than 1,000mi/yr, and drive a car 20,000mi/yr.

I disagree I think both the far-Left and centre-Left both drunk the woke kool-aid but I think some sections in the centre-Left are drifting away from at least the most peak-Woke insanity. But IMO the centre-Left and far-Left are fundamentally very different tribes in how they conduct their politics and how they behave in the public square.
The breakdown of who send me abuse or just harass me with bad faith readings of my tweets is probably, 65% far-Left, 25% far-Right, 10% single-issue ragers like those cyclists earlier today. Though as a centrist I’m unlikely to antagonise that many other centrists, I still observe others’ online behaviour and I find that it is very rare to come across centrist abusive or troll accounts, though I’ve come across a couple, such as Eager Elephant and The Last Blairite.
The FBPE crowd were nuts and could get abusive and dog-pile, but I never really wound them up as I’m generally a Remainiac.

1. Many of these aren't 'private companies' - Kew Gardens, for example, is an arm's-length body of Defra. 2. Even for those that are private, in many cases these pricing concessions are encouraged/coerced by Arts Council Funding, LA licensing or planning rules and similar.
