JUST IN: Meteor spotted in the skies over Spain and Portugal.
This is insane.
Early reports claim that the blue flash could be seen darting through the night sky for hundreds of kilometers.
At the moment, it has not been confirmed if it hit the Earth’s surface however some reports say it may have fallen near the town of Castro Daire.
Other reports say it was closer to Pinheiro.

During some doom scrolling, I came across a guy who mows people's lawns for free and makes money for it from viewers off of social media.
The video had over 750k viewers only on one platform.
It's amazing how the exchange of value works in this new world we live in.
He adds value to the person by mowing their lawn for free. We get value but watching a 2-minute clip of something interesting (I don't know why that was interesting, but it was) and he gets value by getting viewers, and in turn revenue, for his social media.
It's a complete win-win-win situation. So many ways to make a win these days!

@dollarsanddata Deriving tactical strategies from this, I would say this supports that you need to focus on both savings rate AND increasing income. So things like eliminating consumer debt to reduce fixed costs are one side and starting side hustles or changing jobs on the other.

@LifeScribb60448 @ramit Where real estate influencers went wrong is billing it as "passive" and acting like taking infinite leverage to build up a portfolio has no risk. And to your point, if you enjoy it then it is not so much hassle.

The MakerSheets Google Sheets Add-on has finally been approved! Now I just need to put the finishing touches and link everything together and I can officially launch my first ever SaaS! Work is just beginning but I am excited.

@dollarsanddata I'm doing a combination of difficulty 4-5 (index funds) for my long term retirement and difficulty 10 (starting a side biz) as a shorter term investment. Seems like you might have done something similar!

@tomaspueyo I really liked this thread up until the point you say "we know how to stop climate change" and list three relatively speculative and/or not remotely proven practical at scale solution. The truth is it is not that simple, but you probably know that.

@dollarsanddata When I hear people say "I moved my money to X because of the markets" I always ask "What will the market need to do for you to move your money back in." They never have an answer so usually miss all the upside. The cycle goes on.

The Airbnb collapse is real. Revenues are down nearly 50% in cities like Phoenix and Austin. Watch out for a wave of forced selling from Airbnb owners later this year in the areas hit hardest by the revenue collapse.

@wearepolter I did a similar upgrade in 2021 from a 2013 to the M1 Pro. It was a night and day difference! Idk about you but my battery was starting to go on the 2013 so it just felt like an all around amazing upgrade.
