I'm back! - a smol update 👇 dec-jan was the toughest months of my life i feel very vulnerable sharing this, but i hope it helps someone else feeling this way 6 mos ago, I built lightscope.so, at one point, it was making $1K / day but for various reasons, I had to shut it down in Dec, I refunded everyone. it hit me hard - and in the process, i felt like i forgot the basics of building/shipping that I'd learned over the year cuz I'm starting from 0. I got too in my head about everything - - the pressure to find the right idea - the pressure to build a team - the pressure to move fast - the pressure to keep up every time i was on socials i felt my anxiety peak up again - I felt like everything/one is moving ahead, and I was stagnant I started comparing myself and that was NOT healthy it all started to feel like 'work' again which was really, really bad. I had to drag myself to do stuff, and I started becoming really slow. So I tuned out for 2 weeks to figure myself out - no tweeting, no socials, light work I did some deep work to figure out what I loved, wanted to do, when I wanted to do it by, and how. I figured it out. I finally got a clear picture about my own 'lane' - and felt like nothing could change/shake that I started to get confidence back & my love to making things, Feb was me entirely chipping away at new ideas + working with people. For this year - I'm laying some ground rules for myself - Ship (great) MVPs in max 5 days - Be systematic (i.e, don't build/market blindly) - Stick with it or pivot quickly (easier than starting from 0) - 50% Product, 50% Marketing - Eat clean, stay fit, sleep well, have fun. updates: - launching a new SaaS beta (usekira.so) in 2 days - i started lifting & taking it seriously (+6lbs, -2% BF) - i feel faster/more locked in than ever - i'm no longer solo - i have a stache
