@jdhlang @mattjcan The ALP running would probably just weaken Milthorpe’s primary vote and risk leakages. It would not have made a substantial difference to the final 2PP and been a waste of money and resources for Labor.

@craigkellyAFEE No ALP candidate - Last state election they go 32% of the vote. With Labors policy seeming to be not run in by-elections so the current party has a clear run to retain it. Usually a Lib seat.

The Liberals may have retained a safe seat, but a 24.7% primary vote was a great result for One Nation in the Nepean by-election. It demonstrates that nationwide polling is not only real, but perhaps slightly understated.
